Always a great place to go for a great meal. Usually go on Sunday after church. Great variety of food choices from steak to chicken to salads to BBQ. Great selection of sides and very good homemade cakes for dessert. The Shak is now HC Jackson's. Same location. Different management.
Waitress we had was very rude BUT food was great however it was slow & not everything came out at same time. However, I love the atmosphere & there are many more great waiters & waitresses I'm sure. Decorations really are amazing
Great food and atmosphere. Super nice people and great service. We plan to go again for Mother's day because the food was so dang good. Try the fried pimento cheese balls. So very, very delicious!
We went eat tonight. On three different occasions the waitress came by to let us know that our food would be out soon. After 35 minutes the waitress came back to the table to let us know that our ticket was lost. It appeared to be under staffed. Maybe that is why it happened. That would have been my first time eating there. But since our ticket was lost, I will not be eating there.
I have been eating here about once a month or more for over 5 years and never have I had a bad experience. Most of the time I order take out, orders never take more than 20 mins which is perfect time for me to get there from my house and be back home with it still hot to eat. Waitresses are always super nice and helpful even when they r slammed. The food is a little pricey but totally worth it, u get what u pay for, huge portions with that down home grandma's cooking flavor. My husband loves the fish and shrimp and I love the stuffed potato ( it's so big u can make two meals out of it). But the best is there cake desserts (Coconut, strawberry or choc peanut butter) they r homemade always super fresh and moist. We each ordered a meal with an extra side a peice my son got a kids burger basket plus we got three appetizers and two cakes with two sweet teas and it was 45$, not bad considering we took half of it home and ate again. Totally worth the stop.
I had the small burger and it was one of the best I've had in a long time! The service was excellent. Very Friendly staff and nice casual welcoming atmosphere. Will definitely visit again!
