Busy day in Downtown Steamboat so we stopped here for lunch after being turned away at a few other places due to it being busy. The shack was also busy when we arrived but we got the next table. Service was friendly and excelled and oh my gosh the prices were incredible compared to other places in Steamboat. I got the fish and chips with sweet potato fries, friends got the French dip and a salad with chili. All was delicious. We even came back for breakfast the following day because we loved this little gem.
Searched Google for best pancakes in Steamboat and found this place. They did not disappoint! Food was delicious! Great service too! Would definitely recommend whenever you’re town!
We stopped for breakfast and was served quick I think we took longer to order. The food was decently good. Fair prices. I asked for over easy eggs one was runny in the egg white which wasn't to good. Hashbrowns were good. Watered down coffee.
Great old school breakfast and lunch spot. Reasonable prices, quality food, good portions, and very friendly staff.
I don’t know how I’ve lived in the area for 10 years without going here until today! Lunch was delicious and our server was so nice and attentive. Great spot! Can’t wait to try their breakfast next time!
Ok the staff is patient and kind with the kiddos. Pancakes are fluffy and perfect. Mickey mouse pancakes delighted the kiddos. I had a fantastic Philly with Swiss and the fries oh the fluffy crispy amazing french fries. I could eat a plate of those alone. Biscuits and gravy should also not be missed. I don't think you could go wrong with anything here! Great food great service!
Although the food was mostly good, the overall experience was not great. I ordered the rib-eye steak and eggs, order of biscuit and gravy, and a hot chocolate. The person that answered the phone was giving very short answers, didn't ask for my information, nor did she give me a total. I get to the restaurant and it appears I was the only one with an order to go, my card was taken and charged, and I was handed my bag. I had to ask for the hot chocolate and the whipped cream on top.
I get back to my hotel to find the steak is very thin and dry. The eggs and hashbrowns were fantastic. But, the biscuit (photo attached) was clearly meant to be a sandwich of some kind where the egg and meat were taken out. This is a bit unsettling, but nothing seemed "gross" so I ate it. It was a great biscuit.
Overall, the food was decent outside of exceptions but the take-out service lacked a bit.
Great option for breakfast in Steamboat! This place is small so you may need to wait a few to get seated but the food is spot on once you get a spot! Eggs Benedict and Mac’s omelet were tasty and filling
