Best KPortal Reviews
The seafood boil was way too salty. The decor was uninspired what the theme of the restaurant is im still confused on. Our server was sweet but she was the only person working the floor and bar. I'll give it another try since they just got a liquor license, maybe it'll be better. I was really excited about this place because I'm a Lil baby fan. Hopefully next time it's better.
Be for real. The 3 star and up obviously have to come from family and friends of people who work here. There's NO WAY this place is receiving any stars from actual customers. This place is FILTHY. Not even hand soap in the bathroom. DIRTY counter tops and NASTY walls. Looks very much so CHEAP and THROWN TOGETHER. Yet I still I ordered because a friend that we rode with suggested we stop at the "Lil baby" restaurant ????(we also were just passing through Atlanta). I'll try anything once, but to be for real, I have a feeling that later on, we'll have stomach aches. I would have loved to see a black business doing great, but lil baby needs to stick to the music because this restaurant ain't it????. The &itch who took out order was RUDE and GHETTO(she was close to getting her @$$ whooped honestly????). There was another worker, but she sat behind the register on her phone the entire time we were there. She should've had her @$$ up cleaning the countertops off. Just NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS AT ALL. We ordered to go because it looked to NASTY for me to sit in and eat. Took us AN HOUR to get our food. Honestly, even the food didn't look too sanitary either. It says in the caption bringing a new tatse. They mean no taste, lol. The lil rude person acted like she didn't even want to give us napkins and forks even AFTER having to ask for it. 3 grown people, and you're putting our to go oreders in the same bag. Like put his food in his bag, put his food in his bag and mine in my bag. Like I asked, and she wanted to get smart and ask all the orders in separate bags? YES, BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT I ASKED FOR????. I'm like ARE YOU DUUUMB????. The food was BLAND. Whatever spicy stuff they put in their meals, you can definitely feel(on your lips) and taste that, but NO REAL FLAVOR. The legs are very small. The corn is hella hacked to pieces you don't even get a half of corn in the meal. The food is just plain. One good thing was the fried catfish. It was heated up well. But just to SALTY. There's really NOTHING IMPRESSIVE about this restaurant. I would think it's not going to be here long with the DIRTYNESS of the establishment, the DESPICABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, and The PLAIN FOOD. I think this place is more for people who smoke weed and just want to eat something just anywhere. You honestly would be better off going to publix and having then steam your crab legs and cooking the rest. Or just cooking them yourself. The pictures does this place justice, but you'd have to be there to actually see and feel how FILTHY this place really is????. Cleaning products(i dont know what for, because they sure aren't cleaning with them), air freshener, and a cleaning bucket with cups and things in it, on the counter tops in the back where you would serve food. Dried up piss on the toilet seats. No soap to wash hands. Just RATCHET. From outside and a lot of the people looking like scammers to inside this establishment, this place is VERY GHETTO and I DONT RECOMMEND. Seems as if this is a quick cash grab more than anything like the owner just wanted to hop on the seafood train really quick for some quick cash. No effort into this place. I'm TOTALLY SURE THIS IS A FIRST AND A LAST visit for me.
The place looked nice. Our server was very personable and helpful with suggestions. The sauces are amazing. We had the hot honey mixed with jerk on one plate. We had just honey hot on the other. The shrimp was big and fresh. Also, Crab cluster + 6 shrimp + corn and potato for $17.99 is a great price...so..yea.
My only complaint is that the crab legs tasted like those box crabs at Walmart. They weren't giving fresh ????????♀️ I don't know how to explain it. With all the sauce, they weren't terrible though.
Food was good ! S/O to our server SoSo! She made us feel welcome and gave advice on what to order ! It was our first time. Not to mention the blue lemonade was delicious. We had a group of 6.
My husband and I visited this establishment on a Wednesday evening. Walking in the restaurant, the decor was nice. I really liked how the takeout area was in the front, separated from the dine-in area. We had reservations, but upon arrival no one even asked about the reservation. The individual taking the to-go orders told us to speak with her manager to be seated. After waiting awhile the manager walked us to the back and sat us at our table. Side bar: the servers all had on matching black outfits, but other individuals working there were walking in and out with regular street clothes on (shorts, hoodies, hats, crocs; etc) making it hard to decipher who was actually employed there. Our server was super sweet. She took our order and our food came out in a reasonable amount of time. They were out of all of the frozen lemonade so we ended up just getting sodas to drink smh. My husband got fried fish and I ordered fried shrimp and also Cajun butter steamed shrimp. The fried options were on point. The steamed shrimp were horrible. The taste was off. I can’t even explain it. I literally tried one shrimp and didn’t eat anymore. I gave 3 stars for the nice environment, our server’s attentiveness, and the taste of the fried options. We are going to wait until it’s been open a while before we try again. Hopefully by then all of the kinks have been worked out.
AFFORDABLE fresh seafood with some of the best authentic sauces of I’ve ever tasted. (Lemon pepper was my fav) Stays open late. Large carry out area. Reservations are recommended to minimize long wait times. Clean decor. Soso, our waitress, was efficient very nice and handled a large group easily. They give gloves, wet naps, and bibs! Pop (soda) served in cans. Newly opened a couple weeks ago so be patient while they make this restaurant a go to for years to come.
Visiting from St.Louis, we made this our first stop. The restaurant had just opened at 12pm and on time I might add! However, when we asked for dine-in, the cashier had to find and ask the manager if it was ok for us to be seated because we didn’t have a reservation. We did look at the website before coming and it does not say anywhere that a reservation was needed. When the manager came, we were seated! Yayyy!!! The restaurant is very nice. Décor was bright and seating was very comfortable. Our waitress Dishauna was super friendly and very informative. She suggested her favorite sauces for our meal. We wanted to order drinks from the bar but she told us that the bar was completely sold out because of the busy opening 5 days ago. (I’m surprised that they didn’t have another liquor delivery knowing how busy the restaurant was going to be) We then ordered slushies, of the five options, only two were available, changing our choices. The drinks came in plastic slushy cups which in my opinion, looking at the restaurant ambiance, should be served in the same glasses the water was in. However, they were fruity and delicious. My daughter and I do not eat meat or seafood but really wanted to support Lil Baby so we only ordered fries, potatoes and corn with the sauce our waitress recommended. My sister ordered the shrimp with corn and potatoes. All three meals arrived to the table on plates, luke warn, juicy and bland. We had to ask for glove and the bib. We probably should have complained and addressed it there but I don’t like to send food back so we didn’t…. Once we cut the potatoes open and put the sauce on them and the corn, it was much better. I don’t go to seafood restaurants but was told that it should’ve been served in bags and maybe that’s why the seasoning hadn’t soaked into the food. We got to-go containers and brought it all back to the hotel where it taste much better the next morning. The fries were hot and deliciously seasoned.
The restroom was out of order and we were told by the waitress that we could go to the building next door. There was unclean rap music playing when we first arrived which we didn’t personally mind but there were also kids and a few older customers that they should have cleaned it up for. Someone from the back noticed it about 20 minutes into our visit and let them know to change it. The change was some nice RnB.
Overall experience was just ok, I will continue to read reviews and hope to return on my next visit to ATL.
The Seafood Menu is such a great restaurant/bar-lounge in Atlanta. The location is good because the restaurant is around local college students. The prices are amazing and affordable! Boy oh boy, not to mention the delicious taste And freshness of the food. The food came out QUICK too and cooked-through! Our waitress / Server Elana was courteous, friendly and professional! She took her time to tend to us and make sure that we were satisfied with everything. And she is also attentive!
I would most definitely be returning to this establishment! Especially once they get their liquor license! It’s going to be even more amazing ????
