Defo not a 4 star restaurant. As you can see by the food. First of all a ceaser salad may be traditionally made with anchovies however this should be clearly stated on menu. As u can see this is not the case. The salad was brown and unwashed the bacon was all day. Now for 12 pound for a butty you expect decent bacon, the steak was meant to be an 8oz was more like 4oz but still charged for 8oz. The wee lass behind the bar, ( Paige) was fantastic and could not help out enough the manager was disinterested. Would not recommend for the prices. You will be disappointed.
I had very basic food (French onion soup and beet salad) and it wasn’t bad, just not memorable. I sat at the bar and the service was quite slow. I wouldn’t return unless I was staying at the hotel and convenience outweighed the aforementioned cons.
Really nice relaxing steakhouse. Decor is old Scottish style and really suits the atmosphere.
Very expensive menu, but service and experience doesn't match the price range. The booth we were seated at was filthy with crumbs all over it from someone else.
Service was very slow. They didn't have any cranberry juice to make the mocktails we wanted from the menu. Food was lukewarm, pudding had a fly on it. Cutlery wasnt provided for those not having steak and had to be requested. Had to get up to request the bill after sitting with empty dishes for ages, and then couldn't get anyone to come so we could actually pay. Ended up going to the bar to pay on the way out. Very inexperienced staff, 10% gratuity added on automatically but would not have paid this given the option as service was poor. Sad to say this is the first and last visit.
Had a wonderful 2 days staying at Inchyra , and had dinner here both nights . Food first class , not a great selection on the menu , but what they do , they do really very well .
All of the staff , both restaurant and bar are so polite , made us feel special.
Advertised as dog friendly but you have to sit in the hotel reception and eat. Food expensive and doesn't match the quality or service.
We booked a table when we checked in and the restaurant couldn’t find our booking. Server spoke so quietly that you could t hear her.
Would give it a miss.
Must have eaten here a good dozen times, the food is varies from good to plate-lickingly good, service likewise good to excellent. Had a few wrong orders (ordered rare received medium, ordered sweet potato fries received normal chips) but mostly we've eaten what we were given (due to sleep/time constraints) and been well satisfied. Any time we've made a complaint it's been dealt with and / compensated. Do ask the staff for recommendations, we've never been disappointed yet with those and have picked up some new favourites as a result.
This is a hotel not an all you can eat buffet, I never cease to be amazed by the folk that turn up expecting some sort of House of Harga's Rib-Rack Challenge. It's smart-casual, full of business people, mostly-sober wedding parties and the odd spa weekenders. You can walk-in but I'd book, especially if it's a bank holiday.
Whilst we checked and were advised by a manager the day prior to our booking that the chefs would be able to accommodate gluten free options the staff have little to no knowledge of what gluten free means or entails. We were advised by the staff serving that this would be difficult to accommodate as most dishes contained butter. Incidentally butter does not contain gluten. Rather than be proactive and check with the chefs what would be gluten free after we were advised our first two options couldn't be adapted the server simply told us to pick bits out of the dishes and put them together. Server very unhelpful given the restaurant has an allergens book that could have been referred to if they did not want to check with the chefs directly.
