Best KPortal Reviews
Linda and her staff is always friendly, professional and patient. She offers best hair care products to accommodate her clients needs.
Although Linda is nice. I realized something. Over communication is important. This place was recommended by a friend , wash and set 55.00, if treatment desired 65.00. I went in for a wash and set, and deep treatment. I informed Linda that I just died my hair a few weeks prior. Linda the stated she has a special treatment. So I received the special treatment, hair cut and style. Everything came up to 160.00, I was able ro get a discounted price of 140.00 not including tax. I said WHAT!!! Yes shock to my system. I explained to Linda, that she knew what the price was and she should've informed me of the price that the special treatment was. This place left a bad feeling in my soul. I will not be returning.
They use great products and left my hair silky and shiny. Love it!
Linda and her crew are very attentive, as stylists should be in any hair salon. Love my cut and style. What I love more is every time I go to this salon I leave with a Smile and not just cause I look good. I never felt rushed there my mood upon departure is always better than my arrival.
Thank You Ladies ❤️ @The Same Linda

My best salon for a good wash
Unfortunately I have to give one star, and the one star is only because of Linda's kindness. I went to this salon because my hair was tangled and dry and wanted to get a wash and set and deep condition. I went in with two braids. The lady who did my hair (it wasn't Linda) had me sit right in the washing chair she proceeded to wet my hair without combing it out or taking the braids out. When I mentioned it she got an attitude with me. So the wash proceeded now I didn't realize that this lady was ACTUALLY combing through my braids while it was WET until I got home. When I got home and unwrapped my hair it was SO THIN. When I say thin I mean see through thin. I literally could fit my whole head of hair in one tiny braid. I was livid, I went back to the salon the next day unfortunately the lady wasn't there. Linda was there and she had someone translate what I was saying to her, she felt bad about the situation and offered a free wash and deep conditioning service but I declined because it's not like that would magically make my hair thick as it was prior. I appreciated the gesture though but no, I would prefer if things were done in order in the first place. I didn't want to write this long review but sometimes its necessary.
***** BEWARE ***** I would leave zero stars but I feel like I have to put something in order to leave a review. I have been natural for a year and some change. Normally I would go to a different salon but being lazy I went to this one because it was close to home. I just took out box braids and wanted to get a quick wash. They washed my hair right away and asked if I wanted a “deep conditioner” I said yes. Mind you the entire time your there u do not see a mirror until you are getting your hair blown out. So I never noticed my hair was relaxed until it was too late. 1 full year of getting my hair to its natural state is now completely ruined by this salon. If you like your natural hair do not come here unless you bring your own shampoo and conditioner.
I’ve been Natural for four years. I straighten my hair once or twice a year but I always go to this salon. Back in September I got a wash and set. Everything was normal except when I looked at my hair before I left, I thought my hair looked exactly as I did before I went natural— it looked thin. I just assumed it was nothing and that I was being paranoid. I went on with my life and about two weeks later I washed my hair at home.
As soon as I wet my hair I was overwhelmed by the smell of eggs, and if you’ve ever had a perm you know what that means. I didn’t want to believe they had used relaxer in my hair without me noticing but my hair was extremely weak and so much of it was falling out. I’ve had heat damage before, and this wasn’t it. Also, my sister had also gone to the salon with me that day and experienced the same things I had when she washed her hair a few days later.
Words cannot describe how upset I was. All of the work I had put into my hair-- the hours I spent detangling, moisturizing, and twisting, the MONEY I spent on natural hair products to to make sure that it grows and stays healthy- was literally going down the drain and there was nothing I could do about it.
I went back the next day and I asked Linda about it and she says she had no knowledge of this, but she wasn't the one handling my hair that day. She said it was heat damage (which it wasn't) and offered to give me a free emergency shampoo and deep condition, which didn't make a difference, unfortunately
Long story short, if you care about your natural hair then don't risk coming here.
