Sat down immediately for breakfast. Wife and daughter ordered berry pancakes, I got the chicken and waffles. I sampled theirs. All was amazing. Chicken and waffles had a spicy/hot honey and I poured maple syrup on top of everything. Great mix of sweet and spicy. Everything was cooked perfect. Waitress (Jordan I think) was great! Kept our drinks full, not overbearing. All in all I highly recommend.
Great food. Went here a couple weeks ago with my hubby and the food and service was great! Seems to be a pretty popular spot because there was alot of people. We were seated quickly though.
I got the soft shell crab Benedict and hubby got the carnitas Benedict. Food was served with delicious bread biscuits and some nice jam. Meals also came with some breakfast potatoes which were really delicious.
Everything was cooked very well. Waitress was very kind and quick to ask if we needed anything.
I did have one issue with my food but decided it was more appropriate to email the owners rather than post it on Google reviews. They however never emailed me back. As someone who has worked in restaurant service for a long time both FOH and BOH I'm a bit disappointed.
Stuffed French Toast is really just dessert????????????. When they have the specials, get the specials! The Carne Asada Hash was delicious! That chimichurri sauce was fabulous over the sweet potatoes. Excellent combination of flavors! The home fries were flavored well???? Flavored coffees with yummy whip cream! Got the meatloaf to go!
THE BEST BRUNCH PLACE! Highly recommended. The atmosphere is very nice and energetic. The servers and hostess was very very nice. Our server made sure we had everything we needed at all times. The food came out so fast and all of the food was sooo good! Great portions as well. I will be back often! Highly recommend!
I decided I wanted to try The Rustic Spoon for my birthday brunch with my elderly friend. We arrived around 1030 on a Saturday and The Rustic Spoon was very busy. We were asked if we had a reservation (didn’t know I would need to and definitely recommend making one if you have more than 4 people in your party). We were put in the waiting list and fortunately only had to wait 5 minutes before being seated.
There is seating upstairs and down stairs. We were seated upstairs and let me tell you it was LOUD with everyone’s conversations. I personally didn’t mind but my elderly friend did. She had a very hard time hearing to be able to converse with my fiancé and I. The food looked great but the taste was meh. My friends food came out barely warm and was sent back to get heated longer. She had to wait 15 minutes for her plate of food to come back. My fiancés carnitas Benedict were underwhelming as the English muffin was not toasted and tasted like it was taken directly out of the packaging and put in the plate. If it were toasted I think he may have enjoyed it better.
Ultimately the Rustic Spoon is a hopping during Saturday brunch. Our experience may have been a little different if we didn’t come at the peak of the morning rush.
I wasn’t feeling particularly good, but after I had the corn chowder soup, I was in a whole Nother mood. I will definitely come back again. The food was delicious. Atmosphere was great and the servers seemed nice too!
Was here recently with my family. The four of us were ready to try a new place, so we stopped by. We beat the crowd, which was nice. The parking lot is only but so big.
The waiter was fantastic.
The food was OK. Ordered scallops as appetizers, and it came with three, but there were four of us. I had a special dinner of scallops, steak, and salmon. It was good, but the portion seemed small compared to the price paid. Perhaps the potatoe puree could have been traditional naked potatoes. And instead of medium, the steak was done. The size of the salmon should have been larger.
Looks like a good place so I'd like to come back a second time. I saw some other things on the menu I'd like to try.
Great Food and Atmosphere at The Rustic Spoon, but Mandatory Gratuity Disappoints
I recently visited The Rustic Spoon with friends, and overall, it was a great experience. The food was excellent, and the atmosphere was pleasant. The establishment was very clean, and I appreciated the well-organized setup, including the bathrooms.
One of the highlights for me was the great deals offered for military and first responders, which is a nice touch. The customer service was very nice, although I didn’t catch the name of our waitress as she didn’t introduce herself.
Despite the place being very crowded and loud during Memorial Day, I really enjoyed my visit and plan to come back again. However, one concern that might affect my decision to return is the mandatory gratuity included in the bill. I believe tips should be given for exceptional service, not expected by default. Employees should be paid a livable wage without relying on mandatory tips.
