It is no longer the Swan Hotel with the Rustic Kitchen, an Italian Restaurant. New management has taken over. The menu now is traditional English. I’ve not eaten, so I cannot comment on the food. “It’s going to be completely refurbished” said the barman when he stopped rushing around enough to exchange two words with me. The beers were Sharp’s Doom Bar and Wye Valley HPA but the HPA didn’t taste quite as I remember it.
We spent the weekend there with the Alcester Folk Festival. The place is friendly and welcoming but is still being refurbished. The meals were good and freshly prepared but a bit small and not cheap. Draft soft drinks are the same price as beer.
Absolutely incredible quality pizza! The dough is clearly fresh, traditionally hand made and stonebaked too. The prices are a very nice surprise and the service is second to none from really lovely staff. Eaten in once and taken away twice and the takeaway has been ready in under ten minutes each time! Absolutely no comparison to other local pizza places on quality, speed or price!! The restaurant has a great selection of food other than pizza on their menu too, but vegetarian options could be better. The newly refurbished interior is beautiful and creates a warm and cosy atmosphere and is undoubtedly now the most upmarket eatery in Alcester. Top notch!!
Lovely pub and restraunt. There roasts are brilliant. Nice cosy friendly atmosphere. Nice cocktails. In the town. Large car park at rear.
