Joined a community service group meeting at lunch today. This is their regular meeting place and I was promised an authentic southern meal. The Rusty Grill does not disappoint. Meals are served buffet with many choices. Today, they offered a fresh salad bar, fried chicken, chicken and dumplings, grilled pork chops, beef roast, butter beans, collard greens, stewed tomatoes and okra, cheesy potatoes au gratin, green bean casserole, banana pudding, and strawberry cake. We left quite happy and full! On the outskirts of Swainsboro on route 80, you have got to stop by and taste true southern cooking! Watch for the big alligator on top of their sign!
I love restaurants like this! It always feels like my childhood, coming down to Georgia to visit friends and some family. I gave it five stars because the food I ate was really good, the server was really nice to our whole table, there were people laughing, chatting, and overall having a good time while eating yummy food! I love the salad bar, I got the chicken Alfredo dish and shared it with my cousin because there's enough food on the plate for two people. Overall I had a good time hanging out with my family while enjoying some good food!
Walked in right before 5 pm & hostess and not friendly even after we told her it was our first visit. Took way too long to get simple Food from kitchen not on buffet. Soup not fully cooked & tasted like milk instead of a bisque. French fries not cooked but was the last thing served after all the other food had been brought to table. They have a great concept but taste & service could use some southern flavor & charm to them..Once will be the only time I eat here. On to better adventures
This is downright great food. Not overly seasoned but you can tell it has been cooked WELL. Banana pudding to die for! Great buffets all throughout the week, a nice salad bar with great selections. Average price $13 daily to a $35 seafood buffet on Thursdays. Wow! Check it out! Service was so so but it's a buffet so you can mostly help yourself.
This is one of my favorite places in town. The lunch buffet has great food at a reasonable price. I haven’t found anything that I didn’t like yet. I’ve dined here several times with my family. This is the first place everyone thinks of whenever we decide we want to eat out.
Shrimp and grits was amazing some of the grits were old off the top but it wasn't busy so I understand
My daughter had a dentist appt. And afterwards we were famished. We looked up some places around Swainsboro and ended up here. We had buffet. It hit the spot! You can order if the menu too. It seems to be a very popular place.
Drove an hour and a half but was definitely worth it. Everything was very good and hot. New food was brought out very quickly to the buffet. The service was excellent, drinks were never empty and the plates were cleared immediately.
