I’ll start by saying that I did already speak to the manager and she was a gem. Very kind and she did take care of our check, which was not needed but a great gesture. I just felt like I wish more people would have shared a different perspective before we went so here I am.
We had a party of six and we all agreed this was one start all around and here’s why…
Our server was very nice, but we were waiting a lot for some pretty basic things. The other server was on top of it and zipping through getting her tables settled quick.
We ordered drinks and waited about 10 minutes for them, which is fine but still a little much. The coffee tasted more like water. I’m fine with a mediocre coffee with a diner experience but this one was worse than expected.
Orders were wrong, food was lacking in flavor, hash-browns were undercooked (even though we had some in our party ask for extra crispy), and portions were weird. We ordered some toast after our plates were down and didn’t get it to the table until well after we were done eating.
Overall, we were left confused why this had such high ratings. The only redeeming factor was how kind the manager was.
Excellent breakfast spot if you plan on a long wait.
Order the Crispy French Toast!
We ended up waiting 40 minutes for a seat and then ANOTHER HOUR for our food to arrive. The staff was nice and the food was excellent. It was one of the best French Toast I have ever had and highly recommend their Crispy French Toast. The bacon was also perfect, although the hash browns were not my favorite. The scone was decent.
Usually a bit of a wait to get seated but sooo worth it. Friendly staff and delicious food. Can't get enough of their crunchy French toast ????
Fantastic experience. We were looking for home style breakfast places and found this. I was highly impressed with the lighting quick service by Marlo. Even when it was busy she kept our drinks refilled and was super kind the entire time. The food was equally as delicious and absolutely worth the price for the portion sizes that we received. We received full plates of food that was cooked perfectly in every aspect. The atmosphere of the place made me feel so happy and like I was at home. Overall I will be going here again next time I’m in town.
Absolutely delicious classic American Diner food!!! Everything is exactly what you would expect when you think of old fashioned diner style food. We had a big group so there were many different orders. Everyone loved the food! I recommend the Chicken Fried Steak. It was just how I like it to be. The atmosphere is very old fashioned in a cozy and classic old town vibe. The owner visited us many times.
Unfortunately, the food came warm not hot. It was bland. The waitress was really nice but not attentive. The place was packed. So, I didn’t think it would be worth it to ask for hot food. It was too busy. Also, I got the biscuits and gravy and I’ve never had sausage links cut up in the gravy. I thought it always came like crumbled if I’m wrong, correct me. It has a cozy atmosphere.
Breakfast all day. Good good. Good service. Big portions. Highly recommend the crispy French toast.
Dining at the Rusted soon was great. The atmosphere was like being with family every one seemed very relaxed. The servers were phenomenal. Friendly and they didn't hover. The food was like home. Very delicious and you kept wanting more! Stop by the restaurant it will be well worth your time.
