Myself and a group of friends visited this pub after taking part in a local running event. Really pleasant experience! The landlady couldn't have gone further out of her way to welcome us and make us feel at home. We sat on the quieter side which suited us perfectly as we could chat and eat our food. It was nice to go to a pub which was also dog friendly for our pup! If we're ever in area again, we will return!! :D
Great atmosphere good evening great staff
A
nice pub for a quick drink on the coast path.
Lovely staff .
Great ambience.
Would be better with food and Welsh Ale ..but hey ho it was nice to sit in with friendly locals on a wild day.
Landlady lovely
This is a traditional pub. The decor is eclectic but very much the landlady"s style. We were made to feel wecome by the staff and the locals. They do not do food but will allow you to bring in your takeaway, she even provides menus for you to have it delivered. Such a refreshing change from pubs of nowadays where they are more like restaurants.
Visited here for the first time yesterday. Great welcome from landlady and bar staff. Me and my partner both have mobility issues and they were really helpful to our needs. Thanks for a great day. See you soon.
Fabulous little pub with amazing views over estuary ...can't wait to call again the owner very welcoming
We popped in here after a nice circular walk of the area. An absolutely lovely pub with cracking views of the estuary that we can't recommend enough. It was clean, warm and very comfortable. We visited in the winter but looks like there are some good outside spots for a barmy summer afternoon too! There's a great selection of drinks available and there was football playing on the big screens. Heather (the landlady) went out of her way to ensure that we felt welcome and is a perfect host. It houses a nice group of locals there who gave great conversation and again ensured that we were very welcome in this beautiful spot on the Gower (shout out to Tony/Feedo... An authority on sea glass).
Go to Pen-clawdd, stop in the Royal Oak and have a lovely time!
