Fabulous welcome late in the evening, made to feel like we'd returned home.
Ross is an example of how a host should be.
The room was clean quiet and comfortable.
Breakfast was plentiful and very enjoyable.
Great views and a useful Pub/bar restaurant nextdoor.
We stayed here in July for a couple of nights as we traveled around Scotland. Ross was an an exceptional host. We had great conversations and he gave us ideas on what to do given the torrential rainy weather and he even made haggis for us one morning to try, because we'd never had it! I liked it-much to my own surprise. The room was very clean and quiet. The restaurant next door was good. We would definitely go back here. A nice quiet town, out of the hubbub of Oban, but close enough to enjoy it.
This is a great spot to stay. An ocean view, great restaurant/pub next door and another within walking distance. Comfy bed and cute bathroom.
Ross is an amazing host and will share info on the area and assist where he can. Will hopefully be back.
I stayed three nights at The Rowans and was delighted. The situation overlooking the sea and only a couple of miles from Oban was perfect. I don't expect the heights of luxury in a B&B but I do expect a friendly welcome and a comfortable homely atmosphere. I wasn't disappointed. Ross is a great host and the room was comfortable, clean and warm. Breakfast was great and my vegetarian needs well catered for. Having The Oyster close at hand for a drink and evening meal was perfect. All in all, a very good place to stay.
Stayed for one night on our way to the ferry to Mull. Ross was a friendly and helpful. host. The room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Owing to Covid restrictions breakfast was served in a bag which was a very good alternative.||Would definitely recommend
We are the 4 persons family stayed at "The Rowans" for one night on our way to Dornie. We are occupied two rooms one double and one twin both are en suite and also a one minute walk from a really good restaurant and pub in Oyster Inn, and lovely lake view. This is a great b&b. Huge rooms with everything you could need. Clean and comfortable with a TV, Wi - Fi and delicious breakfast served in dining room. Ross and Helen are perfect and very friendly hosts. We are got more useful information from Ross according to our trip to Dornie - alternative route that has been recommended by Ross was very spectacular and interesting.||Very recommended B&B.
Family of four stayed two nights here during our Scottish tour. Location is an easy drive to Oban and the ferries. Ross gave us good alternatives when our trip to the Three Isles was cancelled. Good Scottish breakfast each morning and flexible with time of our breakfast when other guests leaving earlier. Rooms were ample sized and good strong hot shower ensuite was appreciated after long days of travelling.
Came upon The Rowans by chance. A great find. Our host Ross welcomed us into his lovely home. Our room was very comfortable and the en-suite well laid out and clean. Breakfast was a triumph. Ross gave us helpful advice on where to eat and local tourist attractions. It is a big Yes from us ????
