Best KPortal Reviews
A great pub for those of us who like pubs that are not restaurants + a bar. This is a pub which actually corresponds to the idea that most of us have of a pub - beer, crisps (there is no food), regulars, conversation. David, the landlord, has been running the pub for 24 years. He chats to you, maybe asks your name etc. Loved this place. If I lived close-by I would probably be in for a pint every evening. There are no more conviction politicians; but this is a "conviction" pub.
Top Wet pub
Traditional pub values great ale esp the Guinness.
Thanks Dave
Olde world pub friendly landlord and great atmosphere
What a step back to the times to when Everyone spoke to each other Without the use of a phone. When the Landlord (Dave) and the regulars ask for your name and remembered it. Oh and the beers are v good quality and well looked after too. A thoroughly good evening, one which we WILL be having again in the future. Thanks be, that there are still Pubs like this one.
Really friendly cask beer pub... highly recommended for a visit.... exc
Great looking pub. Friendly staff however no lower priced drinks all primuim beers. fine if one has a pocket full of cash.
Nice traditional local pub, we went between Christmas and New year, a friendly atmosphere with the landlord and locals. Will definitely go back when we are next in the area
Best real pub in town! Landlord A1, and the locals will soon pull you into their banter if you want, old school excellence
