Rob-Z would love this food, best steak and ale pie, literally massive, great place, busy and a bit quaint but OMG love it, will return, cheers girls, it was fabulous
This is a great little pub. Staff friendly and helpful. I've twice in a couple of years had bad experiences in the hills and Liz, Lesley and company have been so supportive. I always look forward to popping in when in Crianlarich.
This place isn't cheap, but you get what you're paying for (just my opinion, ymmv). Food was great, way better than I was expecting.
Alcohol selection is pretty much what you'd expect, decent beer and whisky selection, not so much others.
Staff are pleasant (if you're expecting bright smiles etc... maybe Scotland isn't for you) and happy to chat a bit.
Wasn't sure what to make of this place. When we arrived there at about 7.15pm there were only a couple of cars in the huge car park, which didn't bode well. The decor reminded me of an old social club and when we walked through the door we were greeted by the stares of locals in the bar slowly chewing through their meals. A lots of the tables around the corner in the main restaurant bit were taken and the atmosphere was one of hushed friendly chatter. We grabbed a table, ordered at the bar and the food came really quickly. No messing. Great service and outstanding food!! My partner had steak pie- which was amazing, and I had poached salmon and veg, which was cooked to perfection with the most delicious buttery spring potatoes and a sauce to die for. Totally recommend this place!
Stopped here during the hike on the West Highland Way. Got nice grilled sandwiches.
Beautiful food. Pleasent atmosphere. Toilets. Get your table number and go to the bar and order food. Some pics attached. Ramp for wheel chair user access. Electric car charging point just around the corner as well as well maintained public toilets. Lovely place for a wee walk after a nice lunch at the rod and reel.
Stopped here for dinner after a day of hiking. Absolutely no atmosphere inside. Run down, slanted tables and chairs, the woman at the bar was so unfriendly and very rude to a few customers. Food wasn't good either. Chicken burger was just a chicken fillet on top of a cold burger bun with cold lettuce. Definitely won't be back.
We just had coffees, but they were very good. Great service. Nice place. Toilets very clean.
