I was pleasant surprised! I expected bar food and what we got far exceed our expectations! It was like really home cooked food! The pork chop was cooked perfectly per the wife, my seafood platter was done perfectly also. The meals came with biscuits salads and chocolate cake for dessert. We will definitely be back.
Ate lunch here with my husband. The food was excellent and fresh. Place is clean and the waitress was friendly. I would definitely eat here again!
My suggestion would be more help for a quicker service/ table turnover since the small space is a challenge. There were some adjustments that could be made. For instance if you have to wait that long for a menu maybe use a menu board on the wall so people can decide before the waitress gets there to cut time. Overall an excellent little spot for good food and you can see that quality is important to them!
This is a great little breakfast place with character. It is cozy and quaint, serving good food at a reasonable price. The staff is friendly and attentive.
My husband liked the sausage gravy and biscuits. They have house made corned beef hash prepared daily. When I asked why they don't have an Irish Benedict (eggs Benedict but with corned beef instead of ham) on the menu, our server simply said, "We can do that!" I love that they accommodated my request, and the food was all delicious.
If you go to The Rock, order Missy's Irish Benedict. I told the server to try the dish, and when they put it on the menu, they can name it after me. ????
Oh my goodness, went here for breakfast and ordered the breakfast burrito and the quiche. It took a long time for the food to arrive. The burrito looked like it was microwaved from a box, the potatoes were super bland. The quiche was very overcooked and burnt on top. Even the ice tea was bland. The server seemed overwhelmed and had an attitude. It was like a twilight zone in there. Not what we expected. Unfortunately do not recommend.
Serves breakfast and lunch. The lunch time service was slow. I had corned beef sandwiches were just okay, a little light on the meat, Swiss cheese & bread which seemed to package sliced bread. Could have had more sauerkraut on it. Picture of corned beef sandwich.
A very very solid hometown diner experience. Cozy, clean, and comfortable. Our waitress was excellent and friendly and our service was prompt and attentive. I ordered the corned beef hash, which is legitimately one of twice in my travels across the country that I’ve legitimately tasted actual corned beef. I was very impressed with the home fries that were crisp but not over cooked. Overall everything was very fresh and came out as it should. The only improvement from my perspective would be more seasoning on the scrambled eggs, but that’s a preference as I tend to like my food pretty heavily seasoned. Overall I would return and recommend to anyone.
It's sad the food was awful. The servers were super friendly and very helpful. The decore was pleasant and very clean restaurant. The food was awful. We had breakfast. My gf had Corned beef hash breakfast, I had pancakes and a side of potato. The side of potato for $2.50 was just a few pieces that didn't about to one potato. They were completely undercooked and inedible. The corned beef hash didn't even look as good as out of a can (which isn't good) it was also completely inedible. We weren't asked if there was anything wrong with the potatos or the hash even though they were clearly not eaten. We paid in full for everything and left a nice tip. This is an honest review about the food not a ploy to get anything free. We aren't from the area and we're traveling through. Dp yourself a favor and pass by this place
Our office tried The Rock for the first time. We got The Reuben. Portion size was very good. The taste was delicious. Came with a bag of chips. When we called the girl who answered the phone to take the order was so sweet. Very friendly.
