Fabulous setting with great walks nearby. A delicious range of savoury dishes and truly outstanding sweet treats. Staff were wonderful to. Dog friendly.
What a lovely discovery! Finest bread and cake in the area. And the pies are delicious too. Great spot for lunch/ice cream/afternoon tea. They also have a pizza night on Wednesdays which looks fab.
Lovely bakehouse in Abbey S.t Bathans one of the little gems that we were lucky enough to hear about from friends. Food for the eyes and belly. Hard to decide which cake to choose from. If you want to treat the family take them here. Fabulous food but expensive.....

The Bakehouse was positioned perfectly at the end of our 2.5hr round circuit of the nearby Broch. The perfect rest bite from the wet outdoors - hot drink, delicious vegetarian pies, and sustainable items to test and buy.
Wow! Just wow!. This is not the most easily accessible place, but thank goodness for that!! There would not be room to move, because the standard of food, the welcome we received, and the beauty of the surroundings are simply outstanding. We only went for morning coffee and pastries, but what we had was really really good, and some of it was unique in our experience. We then also bought some of the bread, from the choice of several varieties of sourdough, and this too is going down a treat.
As new residents of the locality, it will not be our last visit!! Located not more than 100 yards from the Southern Uplands Way, we will find every excuse to walk a few hundred yards to justify another visit!!!

First time here, gorgeous goodies and fab food, cranachan cruffin was just amazing!
This place is a real find and feels like stepping back in time half a century.
Definitely worth the drive . Wonderful bread and baking as well as some great gift ideas various local honeys and soaps etc. The river walk begins in the carpark and is an ideal place to meet friends before setting off. Will definitely be back....
