The location is everything!!!
There is no elevator! Just keep that in mind if you are booking rooms with balconies.
The rooms and balconies are VERY outdated. We had cob webs in the corner of our room so not very well cleaned.
I can say we did have clean sheets and pillows! The bed was also comfy!
The food was not so great. Super disappointed due to the price. I was also expecting better from the reviews I read before booking ☹️
The hotel environment was great! The staff is very friendly!
Overall I’d say if you are okay with wiping down the surfaces and Are looking for some great reviews I’d say this is the place!
Location location location. And great food. The rest, not so much. If you want a place that’s close to skiing, this is your place. It’s beautiful everywhere around here. But this hotel is in total disrepair and has been for a very long time. It’s dingy and falling apart. It clearly hasn’t been cared for or had any decent money spent on it in a long time. It’s really sad actually. I felt uncomfortable in the room because if there had been a fire, it certainly didn’t look like the sprinkler system was going to work. Some surfaces were so dusty they looked like fabric. The balcony look like it was literally about to fall off the building so I never would step foot on that. The food there was actually great. The wait staff in the restaurant was chipper and helpful. The lady in charge of the hotel desk, not so much. She was gruff and made me feel like I was annoying her by checking in. Luckily there was another girl there to try and help and talk to her. And the girl in the little café was really nice and outgoing. But they made cocoa and coffees out of one of those weird little machines that you get in offices where you just push a button and it puts powder and water in a cup. I think the worst part was how bad of shape the bear was in. Like fur missing all over and somebody pulled off his tail. I know kids can be awful when not attended, but get rid of the bear if it’s gonna look that horrid. I won’t stay here again. Maybe it works for you and you don’t care about these things and you’re just happy to find a place to crash near the slopes. I just want more for the amount of money I had to spend.
I recently had lunch at the hotel restaurant and tried their burgers, which I must say are the best in Las Vegas! The staff were incredibly friendly, and the restaurant itself was clean. However, the restroom could use some updating as it felt quite old. On the plus side, they are very kid-friendly and offer the best views. Overall, a great spot for delicious food and a pleasant dining experience.
As an avid world traveler, I have experienced many wonderful places. Giving the Charleston resort 3 stars is bitter sweet.
Taking my 84 year old mother there for Mother's Day was, however, disappointing. Although the staff was great, to an extent, the lack of management seemed to shine through. What I mean by this was there was a lack of attention to the food being served. When a business advertises something special to draw in customers, it is fairly important that management ensures delivery as promised. Our experience was very misleading. When we spoke to the staff regarding the 3 levels of oversight, they were not only apologetic, but it was clear they equally had heard the same concerns from other customers. I believe it's management's responsibility to ensure they deliver what they advertise. Especially when the cost of their food is so high.
So if you are looking for glitz and glamour, this ain’t it, if you are looking for a nice low cost place with a TERRIFIC STAFF, and OUTSTANDING FOOD, this is it. It is being renovated, so temper your expectations, but this place has wonderful potential and I absolutely loved our stay. Clean, everything was as it should be. The drive to it is beautiful. Can’t say enough about the food and the staff!
This was very god place to stay since we were skiing at Lee Canyon. The scenery was amazing along with the fresh snow. Employees were friendly and helpful during our stay. The bar was great with great views. The food was very good and hot the spot after skiing all day. The music they played was awesome , 70’s and 80’s rock.
We only went for breakfast but it was a great atmosphere in the woods with a nice log fire in the lobby to hang out by and the breakfast buffet hit the spot. I would go back again for the breakfast. It was buffet style and the options were large portions unlike a holiday inn. This place has a real restaurant and full bar! I had a couple of drinks that were well made and nothing was overpriced. We had two adults and two kids and i think we paid about $60 including tip! Not bad in my book and i would recommend that you pop in at least for breakfast if you are in the area.
We just visited the restaurant, which was wonderful. The whole place has a vintage, rustic, lodge vibe, and is a really pleasant environment. It would be a great place to stay in this area as well. The food at the restaurant was excellent and delicious, the service warm and friendly. We will definitely visit again.
