We stopped off here on Friday evening around 7pm as we were staying locally. We were told the kitchen was just about to close but the lady said she would stay on to make us some food. The food was tasty and it was nice to sit outside and watch the canal boats and the lock open.
The girl serving behind the bar was lovely. She was really friendly and polite.
A great pub. Landlord and staff couldn't have been more helpful.
A very enjoyable meal and a good atmosphere. It is in a perfect setting by the canal lock and a swing Bridge.
Well located for MK Dons ground although not on the beaten track so not a main stop for football fans. Sadly we won't be back next season following relegation but definitely back after promotion.
Lovley little pub right next to the canal and Fenny Lock with beer garden and patio the pub itself has 2 rooms the left room is a little lounge area and to the right is the main bar with jukebox and dart board with live tv sports the landlords who served me were friendly and happy toilets were clean i visited today after a canal walk and ain't been here before stopped for a pint of diet coke and cheese and onion crisps and played darts the service was fantastic
Wonderful FOOD! We had their pies for lunch today and they were DELICIOUS. Fresh crispy pastry with very tasty filling and homemade gravy!
We had the chicken gammon and leek pie and the steak and kidney pie. Definitely come for the pies!!!
Fantastic atmosphere- Terry is very warm and welcoming, it’s a perfect location with super staff and I would highly recommend!

This is a cracking little pub right on the cut. Lovely beer garden overlooking Fenny Locks & swing bridge. They keep a Timothy Taylor's that is worth the visit alone.
One of my favourite pubs (and I've only been there once!)
The landlord is a conniseur of his trade (really friendly and engaging, truly cares)
The locals are fantastic (again, friendly and engaging, a wonderful and welcoming bunch)
The location, right on the lake, with narrow boats passing and an outdoor area, couldn't be better.
Went for an awayday (Newport County) and away fans are made to feel very welcome.

Recently reopened under new management and the place is unrecognisable (in a non-physical sense. The building is as it has been for ages). New staff are friendly and welcoming. The landlord makes a real effort to get to know his regulars and is making a good effort with the real ale too which is great to see. Food menu looks good (not eaten there yet though). Dog friendly. My new local after avoiding it for a few years. Definitely worth a punt if you are looking for a decent, honest pub.

Good food menu, the pies are sensational and the chips were lovely(clearly fried in fresh hot oil)
Nice range of beers and Timothy Taylor as regular ale which is rare to see these days and it's kept beautifully.
