We tried this place as we love Cajun food and it definitely did not disappoint. It took awhile for our server to get to our table but the food made up for that. Portions were amazing, the tea was wonder and the taste was on point. Great menu choices! We agreed this will be our go to restaurant when we are in the area.
On my first trip we waited about 15 minutes for someone to acknowledge us after seated but after that the food was great! Shrimp and grits, fried oysters, Cajun mac, shrimp baskets, loaded fries all delicious however on my second trip in the same week the food was horrible. I tried all new stuff and Boiled shrimp tasted like chemicals, Crawfish pasta was bland and the jambalaya pasta tasted so weird, fried chicken was so greasy. Service was good second trip!
Food is so good! Ordered blackened catfish with crawfish sauce, hubby had the deconstructed jambalaya over pasta & we shared hush puppies & the crawfish Mac & cheese. Good portions so no room for dessert. The service is always on point. Friendly, funny, attentive!!!
When I say don’t not pass this place by!!!! We were in town from Houston and stopped by this place! It is legit!!!!!! Authentic Authentic Authentic! The food was flavorful and wonderful! The service was top tier! The people were a breath of fresh air!! I can say enough about it,. Definitely try it out!!!
A quaint little place that reminds us of all things New Orleans. Went here on a Monday afternoon for lunch and it was packed ! Service was quick and food was delicious as expected ! The grilled chicken was cooked really well and the blackened taste was amazing ! It was served with rice and beans and tasted great! The crawfish etouffee was pretty authentic and the spicy Cajun sauce can be used to make it a bit more spicy if needed . The bread pudding was a bit too sweet for us but still tasted amazing . Must visit if you are around the marble falls area.
The best Cajun I’ve ever had outside of Pat Obriens in New Orleans. The friendliest staff holds up to what you would expect in the south.
First time here. Came from out of town and just wanted to try something different.
The place itself is one of them places you drive by every day and never think about trying. The interior is nothing to brag about ether.
The food tho .. I'll admit that at the beginning and even as they put the food in front of us, we where thinking this was a mistake...
But then we tried the food and everything was Ok with the world. Good full, bold flavors hit the mouth and before we knew it, we where stuffed and happy.
The service was simple and good also.
12/23 UPDATE: We stopped in for an early dinner, at 4:30pm. We sure wanted to love our meal, but we were definitely disappointed. The food quality was just not there, as it was in the past. We ordered charbroiled oysters, which were pretty good. Certainly nothing like Drago’s Restaurant in New Orleans. I ordered the blackened redfish, and it absolutely was not blackened. In fact, it was barely seasoned. The rice was okay, not great. The vegetable medley was actually delicious. My husband ordered crawfish étouffée, and it was quite bland and had very little crawfish in it. We won’t be returning to this restaurant.
Wonderful Christian people own this restaurant. The food is truly authentic and delicious!!!
