Awesome proper pub. Friendly regulars and staff, proper local beer
Dog friendly, log burners. The 2 stars for food was because they don't serve food ( it's a proper pub not a restaurant). Would be my local if I lived in Cilgerran.
What an amazing place. Super friendly bar staff, a lovely owner, some awesome, friendly, locals and a great choice of drinks made for a perfect place to relax on an evening during our holiday. Small indoors, but that only adds to the amazing close knit community atmosphere that we thoroughly enjoyed. Large outdoor seating area, with heating and lighting for those warmer evenings was lovely. I would say dog friendly, but that would be an understatement. Our dog was allowed to run free from the leash and get fussed from everyone in the bar, and behind it too! Cannot recommend enough, if you are staying nearby, or even if you aren't.
Food is available from The Gorge on a Friday and Saturday evening, but unfortunately didn't get to try this as we returned home before then, but will make sure we include this on our next stay in this wonderful place. Thanks for making our stay in Cilgerran even better! 100% Best pub in Wales, Possibly the UK!
Went to this characterful pub. As soon as we bought our drink we were invited to join the small group of locals including the land lady. We were chatting and laughing in no time. We had a great night and would recommend anyone visiting or staying in the area to pop in.
Brilliant pint
Small Local bar with a friendly welcome and decent beer garden.
Popped in here just to pick someone up, ended up stopping for 4 hours. Small traditional village pub with a great atmosphere, good prices and friendly locals. The type of place you would really want to keep secret and only tell those that deserve to know...I didn't get chance to sample the food but top marks all round for everything else..
We popped in here on our way round a very long hot cycle, and the service was fantastic! The woman behind the bar was very friendly and the locals too. We enjoyed a lovely pint (or two) in the sunshine and would highly recommend! Thank you.
Fantastic little pub with friendly atmosphere and people, the lanlady here was amazing and helpful.. she greeted us and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome!
This pub is the heart of the village and brings together such a close-knit community.
They do food on friday/Saturday sadly however we weren't able to try the food due to leaving Friday morning, but I have no doubt that's its super delicious!
The best village pub in the whole of West Wales as far as I can see. Francine (the landlady) makes everyone feel welcome and takes a real interest in her customers. The locals are great people and make everyone feel welcome. If you get the chance to pop in and have a pint or some food at the Gorge I would recommend it!
