- Another pub bites the dust ????*
Great local pub. Friendly landlords and good beer. Music Jamming night was excellent.
What a great pub! Went for lunch today with 8 colleagues and the food was superb and extremely reasonably priced..an excellent roast for £5!! The service was friendly and efficient and the beer is kept well. Will go again .
Called in here for there lunch special what a find even though we live in lowestoft we will definitely return. What a meal it was outstanding value for money at only £5 tasty food friendly landlady go out of there way to help nothing is too much trouble. We will be back as soon as possible.
Really good pub food. Quality and generous portions. Outside seating area in real need of some love and attention. Friendly welcome.

i was very disappointed as the salad was dry and not fresh. i had a starter of garlic mushrooms, the sauce was very runny and very disappointing.
The Main meal was steak also served with dry wilted salad. deep fat fried mushroom and a burnt tomato. all this was swimming in fat. (But the Steak was cooked to perfection.)
The only time i would consider returning would be if they employed a qualified chef that took pride in the food that they served to paying customers.
I'm sorry to be this negative but please try and take the positive out of what i have said.
Village pub under new management, Kris and Emma are a young enthusiatic couple who have turned the pub round from bad to good in a matter of weeks! Not a huge menu but something for everyone, reasonably priced and variuous offers on food through the week. Try it, you might like it!
This is our village pub. For too many years it has been a bit of a joke. It was either a dive or a creche. However It is now a place to be proud of! The food is delicious and the warm welcome.. Well just that! Proud to be seen there
Great food. Nice selection of beers. Even better selection of malt whisky !! .. Very friendly atmosphere. Dog friendly. Well worth a visit !!
