Traditional pub, spotlessly clean, welcoming staff, and fantastic food.
We booked for a Sunday roast and was not disappointed. As I mentioned, it delivered on every front, and after 7 hours of just chatting and making friends with the pub moggy, we felt so much at home.
It's a real gem, and we'll be back for sure.

We stopped for an enjoyable pint and a sandwich on a warm afternoon. Food was excellent and the staff were very friendly to our dog. Great stop off if walking along the river.
Really nice old style pub, nice atmosphere, rooms are adequate for the purpose, relatively clean and tidy, nice clean bed and towels, good value for the price, ideal for me as I just use it as a place to sleep and have a beer at the end of the day after being out visiting the local area whilst on holiday.
Good value stay. My partner, me and our teenage son stayed overnight. Nice big room. Old building with lots of character. Handy for Brandon and for Thetford Forest. Our room was away from the bar so it was peaceful
