Probably the best fish and chips I've had in years, maybe the best ever. Fish beautifully cooked in fresh looking and tasting crispy batter. Chips all good (,no rubbish,) lovely mushy peas. What's not to like. All this and friendly service too. The folks who run this place really care about quality.
After being very disappointed with our local chippies decided to try the Purple Fish. Definitely the best fish and chips we’ve had in a long time. The extra large fish is huge. We will definitely be returning

Also tried the patties, which were the best I’ve ever tasted. Obviously made to traditional recipes with no corners cut. That good I brought 10 home to freeze.

First visit to this chippie and was not disappointed..my partner said it was the best pattie he had tasted. The large haddock was perfectly cooked thick and white surrounded in a tasty batter. ???? I prefer my chip's a little bit more golden but that's my personal taste, still I give this place 5 star's, highly recommend and will definitely go again..agree with one review, does give Whiteheads in Hornsea a run for it's money ..Thank-you
