Went last year ,decided to go for a long weekend, location stunning, room was lovely as we're most of the staff. The restaurant let's this hotel down badly,,Breakfast, no plates,no bread no orange juice, my husband spent a good ten minutes running around try to get things. It also said dog friendly, but they shove away from everyone so dog doesn't upset anyone, made to feel like a leper, and that's the reason we won't be going back.
Had a fantastic 3 night stay, the hotel is spotless rooms very comfortable and breakfast delicious with plenty of choice.
It is very dog friendly with lovely grounds and the views are fantastic.
A big thank you to Louise, Gavin and team for making our break away so enjoyable.
We will definitely return.

Stopped overnight at the hotel and it was brilliant with amazing views. The staff were amazing, so friendly and made a big fuss over my dog. The food was lovely and very well priced.
The room was so comfortable and clean. I would recommend the hotel 100%
We really enjoyed our visit from start to finish. The staff were excellent..|I was amazed that most of them had only been there for a short period.|Service throughout was superb..Jodie at reception was efficient and very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.|Dillon and Cammy in the dining room too we’re very good ..even though they were run of their feet at times, as the hotel was very busy.|Food was very good especially breakfast.|Our room was very clean and comfortable..the only drawback was the location.|It was on a landing adjacent to the stairs to the upper floors and was quite noisy at times, especially later on in the evening.|The location of the hotel on the hill near the cliffs was fantastic..great sunsets every evening…|Plenty of lovely walks within easy reach of the hotel.|We didn’t move our car during our thee night stay.|We will definitely visit again and would highly recommend it.|Great value for money..give it a try.
Staff friendly. A few issues with the room, no hand soap in the bathroom and shower water not clearing properly had to turn water off every so often as I was showering. When booking in no information given about breakfast time's or anything to do with dinner, and the room certainly didn't have any information in it. The big saving grace is the location and the view over Portpatick.
The views of this hotel are absolutely second to none. The walks and the sense of freedom are exactly what you're hoping for.
The rooms themselves are clean, tidy and newly refurbished. They are quite small for multiple people, but I was alone with a double bed, so I'm not really going to complain. The room didn't come with AC. However, there was a small heater in the corner on the wall, which worked quite well for keeping the room cool. I can imagine in the summer, they will be quite hot without fans.
A point to note, the hotel is dog friendly and has quite a substantial car park - however it is on a hill (you'll see what I mean when you arrive)
The restaurant was unfortunately not available during my stay, so I can't comment on evening meals, although their breakfast was amazing in the morning.
The hotel has a fantastic view of the bay. |Staff are friendly and have a can do attitude. |There was a couple of issues, but were sorted promptly.|The hotel|Breakfast was prompt and good quality. |The staff are accommodating to a early breakfast request for working etc.
First impressions of the hotel were great. Travelled from Somerset so were extremely tired. Receptionist on check in was polite. Asked for the restaurant opening times but was informed the chef had to leave so it was not open that evening. Had to travel elsewhere for food, not ideal and whilst chatting to locals was informed there had not been an evening chef for weeks. Each evening I enquired with the receptionist if the restaurant was open. No one admitted there was no evening chef, very disappointed as we chose this hotel for all the amenities that they currently advertise. The breakfast (they had a chef for) was a bit hit and miss, as were the waiting staff. ||Housekeeping walked into our room unannounced, a big no no! On check out there was no one around!||On a positive note, I do highly recommend all the other restaurants in Portpatrick, excellent food and great welcoming hospitality.
