The food is okay. But the wait time is insanely slow. We ordered a drink and that took forever to come. I think they just forgot about it. The appetizers also took a really long time to come. At one point, I was even thinking of just leaving. But our server was so nice, so he kind of made up for it. Still, my favorite porch is the one at sienna. They definitely have more food options and faster service.
Every time I visit Pittsburgh I make a point of coming here for lunch at least once. I’ve never been disappointed. The food has always been delicious. This recent visit my daughter and I had two different burgers. They were excellent! I’ll definitely be back.
Exceed my expectations. Long time ago when I was at Pitt we used to have many meetings and lunch events scheduled here and their burger and pizza were my choice usually. After 5 years I visited this place again and our group of 5 enjoyed the food a lot. I got the beet and goat cheese salad with shrimps, it was very good. Only complain from a couple of others on our table was the fries were overcooked . Service was super good too.
I found the food to be very average and unimpressive. The location is pretty good, and I've had dinner here a few times, but it's been sort of a let down each time. A few days ago, I went back, just for a quick snack and dessert. Once again, it was still a disappointment.
I tried their bread pudding dessert. Just recently, I had some excellent bread pudding from Kaya. Porch's version of this dessert doesn't come close. It had some walnuts but that was the only unique element to it. It was dry, not that sweet, had no sweet sauce. Not much flavor in general.
All in all, not great desserts, and from what I remember about the dinners also served here, they aren’t that great either. Probably won’t be returning. Only thing nice is the area and outdoor seating/atmosphere.
Food was okay, but the service was so bad that it got to the point that we just had to laugh. Wish we had paid closer attention to the reviews mentioning service before deciding to go. It really did take 45 minutes from ordering to get our food, and 25+ more after that to get a coffee. It's such a great location, the farm to table idea is wonderful, and the food is pretty good (fries were overdone but truffle burger was solid)... However, not worth the service
Stopped here on our way to the Phillips conservatory and botanical gardens. Nice place to get an American meal. Enjoyed the chicken bacon ranch pizza! Good service and chill vibe. Seems like a solid option if you’re the University of Pittsburgh/ Botanical Gardens in the area.
This restaurant is a solid restaurant to go to if you’re in the area. Everything is farm to table which is something that is hard to find these days. It reflects in the way the food tastes. I highly recommend the truffle burger.
Ordered a turkey BLT...waited over 30 min past my friend getting her food AT THE SAME TABLE. The table was disgusting... And you have to PRE TIP. Save yourself the trouble and go else where. Friends hamburger was under cooked with wilted lettuce, tomato and onion.
