Absolutely beautiful location with awesome views honestly the photos do not do justice to this idlic hideaway. Can’t recommend more highly Lucy was a excellent host and the accommodation had everything we needed Fantastic walk right on the door step. Will be rebooking for sure
FABULOUS! An idyllic spot for a 'get away from it all' break. Perfect for recharging your batteries. And Lucy and Nick (the owners) really have thought of everything. You are made to feel welcome from the minute you walk in the door, with a lovely note and welcome goodies. Each bedroom is super comfy and the whole place is spotless. Every nook and cranny is filled with books; the games room is perfect for family gatherings; the extensive dvd selection covers all tastes. And all that is all before you step foot outside. The location is perfect. Just far enough from civilisation to feel relaxing, but not so far that you feel cut off. The local pub, The Kirkstile Inn, is a 5 minute drive away, or a gorgeous 40 minute walk through the wood by the side of the lake.
We were a family of 8 with 1 child and everyone agreed that The Place was a perfect find.

'The Place' is a beautiful old house set in stunning scenery. It was fully equipped with absolutely everything needed & lots more, for an enjoyable & memorable stay. The beds were lovely & comfortable, which is vital for recharging one's battery. My only bugbear is that there was a small amount of mold in at least two of the bedrooms & in the bathroom. The oven needed a clean. Apart from that, the house was spotless. I would most certainly recommend 'The Place'.
Nice place to stay for new years! Lots of space, but you get a limited amount of logs. I thought that was a bit cheeky!
