Found this place "on line". This is a 24-hour dive. Save your money, save your time, eat elsewhere. Horrific service from the kitchen; it took forever. We had to ask for silverware. We had to ask for butter. We had to ask for a check. The food was meh. Two eggs scramble hardly even looked like two eggs. LA is known for its food and hospitality. This isn't it...
Breakfast was awesome! Bacon was crispy, eggs were cook perfect. I was skeptical of the home fries, but they were crispy and delicious, sort of like potato chips.
A place to get something quick to eat.
Be prepared to wait a extra long time! Baked potato never cooked correctly, fries always served cold! Service isn't the best, the crowd that sits outside always begging for something just spend your money anywhere else but here!
I like their food but they need to get new waitresses. The one waitress that they have is very inattentive and argues with the customers she never not one time asked if we were ok or if we needed anything but she came near only to argue with a customer about how his eggs should be cooked ...
So.. this is not a new or fancy dinner.
What is, is an old fashion 24hr dive that serves hood food at a reasonable price.
Better tasting that WH for breakfast and allot cheaper... add an egg at WH it's $3 add one here it's $0.70. Hash browns are great and you can add anything to them.
Gumbo iscexcellent. Daily specials.
Good service and friendly people. This place is a favorite with locals.
Second visit was not as good. I was told they were trying cooks.
Several Locals state they only buy hamburgers here. I'm sticking with Gumbo was good.
Overnight staff is horrible. Waitress is too busy outside smoking and flirting. Service sucks. Food is hot or miss depending on who's cooking.
The food is as good as it always has been. I grew up eating here and have started to come as an adult. The swamp fries are amazing as well as the club sandwiches and roast beef. Many more amazing options on the menu. The staff is friendly and helpful.
