Best KPortal Reviews

This may be a later review, however I went hear during Christmas Eve of December 2023. At the time they had a smaller menu to choose from due to it being a holiday but despite that the food was absolutely superb. My brother got the platter that contained meat from elk, boar, bison, as well as (I forgot the name of the other deer). Another selling point of eating here was the view of the lake. Absolutely beautiful and I’d recommend to sit by a window to enjoy the full experience. The staff is friendly and very attentive towards their customers. The food wasn’t try and had excellent lipids to create a delicious juicy meal. If you’re a fan of steak then I’d definitely recommend this place.
The food and service were amazing. The rack of lamb had flavors that were unexpected but delightful. The prime rib was cooked as requested and and the sides were really good as well.
The Pines Lakefront Restaurant is simply wonderful! We are a family of 4 visiting Big Bear for the holidays and enjoyed the most delicious dinner on Christmas Day. We ordered off of the holiday menu and had the Turkey dinner, Wild Game Sampler and two kids Filet Mignon and Fries. We were blown away when the food came out with the presentation and everything matched in taste. Excellent fine dining food with a wholesome and hearty feel. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The view is stunning and can be enjoyed from all tables in the restaurant. It made our day complete, and we are grateful to the Pines staff working to make make it possible for others to enjoy a Christmas away from home ???????? Highly Recommended!!
This place is amazing ???? hands down service was great. valentines Day service was great. lake view dinner setting was amazing incredible presentation on the plate I got to say overall its a 10 star ????. Easy parking great tasting food. Price is amazing ???? Bravo excellent. These pictures do no justice it's definitely Chef Ramsey Level. 100% above and Beyond
The food was beyond excellent! Our group had elk ribs, lamb chops, and beef Wellington. We all have our food 5 stars! The meal comes with delicious bread and butter, soup or salad, potatoes or rice, and vegetables. All were delicious. Prime rib soup was amazing. Service was excellent. We were greeted by the owner and seated at a window lake view table. I will definitely come back on our next visit.
This is by far the best restaurant in Big bear. Me and my boyfriend absolutely love this place and have to go anytime were up there. The service is amazing and the food is super fresh and delicious. Jerry (the owner) and his wife make the experience the best. It has a great view when sitting outside and the music pulls it all together:)
Great food! Super attentive service on my birthday. Amazing meal of wild game and creme brulee to top it off.
Recently went for a friends birthday dinner, the Elk was very good and the atmosphere and decor was great, the service was amazing with the exception of a server who dropped my soup spoon, told me he would return with another then never gave me the spoon until I was able to flag him down 10 minutes later which by then the soup was not as hot as it was when it was served. That being said our waiter was very friendly and had amazing customer service, and the woman who was singing was also incredibly friendly. 9.5/10 would come here to eat again next time I’m in Big Bear.
