Best KPortal Reviews
5th visit in 2 years. We always come back here. Not cheap, but you get quality. Best bacon and egg sandwich on thick, crusty bread ever! We will visit again. It's great to sit there and have a pot of tea and breakfast. Stunning views. The staff can be hit and miss at times.
The cafe manager/owner was miserable. The young woman serving was totally lovely. When she asked the manager which ice creams were gluten free the managers response was to say ‘oh just tell them they all have gluten in them it’s safer’. What the actual? Disgusting attitude. As a coeliac I spend my life being told what I can’t eat. When perfectly gluten free food is denied just because someone can’t be bothered to check it’s miserable. We will go elsewhere next time.
Just popped in for a cider & crab lunch. We ordered crab sandwich & crab loaded chips, shared between us. It was fabulous! Staff all very cheerful, friendly & efficient.
Brilliant location but not great quality.
The most annoying this (a bit petty maybe?), was that you had to pay 20pence for a sachet of sauce... I'm not used to this at a restaurant where I'm paying more than enough for my meal!
Service was okay.
Food was okay.
Nice place next to the beach entrance. Cold local beer and tasty food. Beach burger (bacon, pineapple) and chicken burger highly recommended. Good space and covid restrictions top standard
The pier cafe is a lovely little restaurant just off the seafront so some really gorgeous views to be had here.. I only had tea and scones with cream and jam, but they was awesome, and the staff was really helpful and friendly.. no toilets in the cafe itself, but there is one opposite the cafe. But be worn it is a off the seafront public toilet so not the best top 10 places I'd list...
First visited the pier cafe last year. And wow food was delicious! Breakfast is lovely and coffee really nice. Had breakfast again this year and still the same delicious. Really nice to sit outside in the sun looking out to the beach. We always stop off for a drink or two. Staff are really friendly. We will most likely eat here again before we leave next week. Even seeing the baby seagulls on the roof is pleasant.
The worst sausage I've ever had, just like ones they serve at funfairs - cheap, nasty and zero meat content. Also only 1 single sausage given in sausage and bacon sandwich, 2 is definitely the norm. Extremely stingey for £5.50. We choose this cafe as it looked quite upmarket, we were wrong.
