I wasn't very hungry but we decided to have a late lunch at the restaurant in the Oakwood resort. View was beautiful, food was pretty good, and the service was fair. We spoke with a Syracuse local and she said the Pier and Back Porch was the go to restaurant on the lake. The prices were cheaper than I expected for a private club feeling. I enjoyed the huge salmon burger with fries. The chicken quesidilla was also quite tasty. The warm fall weather made walking along the lake after lunch very enjoyable and the hotel staff was very friendly and made us want to actually stay there. I'd love to eat some fish on the outdoor patio during the summer for that waterside experience. Super good vibes all around this place. Worth the trip for sure.
The food quality and the service were much better than I expected. The views are great and it's a large facility with plenty of seating space. The menu has a lot of variety including sushi and oysters. Everything we ordered was great. The staff was excellent in overall this was a fantastic experience.
The amazing atmosphere makes this a perfect spot for a meal! The bbq burger was great, and I definitely recommend the sweet potato fries. The cheddar ale dip is a must order appetizer, the house chips and cheese dip go extremely well together. Overall, this is a great meal to eat overlooking the lake!
Great scallops and very creamy mushroom risotto. Loved the dock even if it was raining. The service at the bar was excellent. My only critique is the live band was way way too loud. It felt like a night club at 8:30 vs a laid back experience.
Beautiful scenery and environment! Although the food selection was very limited, it was delicious! The staff was very friendly and polite. We did have to wait an excess amount of time for every single thing we ordered. Overall, it took about 45minutes to receive our food. It's nice to try new things but we wont be returning. The history of the location/building is worth checking into also!
It was an absolutely beautiful day on the patio. Warm but with a nice breeze. Kristen was an excellent server - attentive but not hovering. Drinks were never empty and table always had food, empty plates promptly whisked away.
Sushi was so light, fresh, and flavorful. Wawasee shrimp was plentiful and fried well. Ribeye and filet were well seasoned and cooked perfectly. Both were wonderful cuts of meat. The grilled shrimp was also wonderful, but the mashed potatoes were phenomenal! So buttery and perfectly seasoned. We were stuffed but managed to squeeze in a little berry cheesecake. Stellar end to a fantastic meal.
The food was good, I ordered the pulled pork bbq nachos. My wife had the chili and side rocket salad. Only complaint was the menus we received were really dirty , so I'm knocking it down to a 4 star.

We had the most amazing dinner at this restaurant! The service was wonderful, our table had a beautiful view of the lake, the food was delicious, and the price was reasonable! We got the hummus appetizer, and I rank it as one of the best appetizers I’ve ever had! The butternut squash & arugula salad was amazing and the flatbread was delicious! We got a bottle of their house wine, and it was great for the price!
We would most definitely return to this restaurant and recommend it to all of our friends!
