Vegan food done right. The Philly 'stek' sandwich is wonderful, as are the fries and apple pie. The Belgian craft beer is also a pleasant surprise. The restaurant has a lovely relaxed ambiance and is impeccably clean. We shall visit again very, very soon!
OhEmGee!! Absolutely delicious, creative vegan food, wonderful service and attention to detail plus beautiful valentine’s decor for 14th Feb. You won’t be disappointed
Absolutely delighted to have found this bistro this evening! A beautiful building and layout, very relaxed setting, absolutely delicious food and an incredibly friendly family that own and run the restaurant. We all really enjoyed our evening here, and are only sad that we live so far away so only visit North Wales once a year. I loved the eggplant parmigiana and the Swiss loaded fries - the desserts were also delicious and there was a fabulous range of drinks. Cannot recommend enough - many thanks for such a lovely meal!
Very disappointed ????
After being fully booked on our last visit to Llangollen, we were excited to try Phoenix Bistro. Unfortunately, the service was slow, the food was very tasteless and VERY small! I expected a decent sized jacket potato, it was more the size of a salad potato! My boyfriends food was ridiculously salty, and my mums was drenched in oil. Even the decor is tacky, dusty and low quality.
Would be great if you could have some healthier options on the menu! I feel like the food is aimed towards unhealthy vegans, not good quality produce.
This resturant has potential to improve with the right management.
Would not visit this restaurant again.
My fiance, his mum and I came here for lunch, an it was wonderful! we were served really quickly and efficiently and our server (I'm sorry we didn't catch your name) was so friendly and helpful! We got the Singapore fried rice and the loaded nachos, which were absolutely incredible and so delicious! we go to Llangollen relatively often so we will definitely be returning to try some of the things on the menu!
Food fantastic and staff are very friendly ????
Hi all , sorry this review is a bit long winded but I suggest you read it before you go to the restaurant, Iv been up and down the country sampling various vegan and plant based food at resuarants and eaterys , and 90% of them have been outstanding.
Unfortunately today in Llangollen , I reserved a table for lunch , firstly I arrived early with my wife looking forward to enjoying a tasty lunch , we were told immediately there were 2 tables to be served before they got to us, the initial greeting was not very warm or friendly. We said fine and we were shown to the lounge area and sat on the sofas , we noticed there was only 2 sets of customers in the place , I was under the impression that they were busy and couldn't serve us yet , but seems they can only cope with 4 people at a time .We had 2 coffees which were nice , the young girl who was our waitress was very pleasant.
Buffalo wings - basically 3 florets of cauliflower and lettuce leaf @ £5.50 , I forgot about the half bottle of very hot sauce they poured over it , terrible.
Philly cheese "stek " - 1x sliced mushroom on a bun and once again plenty leaves @ £9.50 .
A very Salty Mac and Cheese @ £9.50 .
A side of Chips very brown on the outside and greasy, not very pleasant at all, we left most of them.
To give them credit they didn't charge for the Mac and cheese . 1x ginger beer and 1x cocktail.
Total £33.00 .
And please don't tell your customers that you didn't put any salt in the Mac and cheese, you said it must be the engivita which is not at all salty its just savoury, offer an alternative like you did and admit your mistake and apologise and people will understand,
Expensive and definitely not up to scratch to be on the high street , decor rag tag put together oddities, the table was sticky and needed a wipe.
We were very disappointed which is a shame as we were really looking forward to eating here. Sadly would not visit again and would not recommend to anyone else.
I'm assuming this place is now closed. Phone and website are both dead. Travelled to Llangollen just to try it, but they weren't open. Sign says 2-9 on a Friday, got there for 3. Wish I could tell you about the food. At least Llangollen is a nice place.
