Located on the airport landing strip, (not to be confused with the Airport Restaurant & Gin Mill) in DeLand. A great place in good weather, to grab lunch and watch the sky divers and planes land.
This place is awesome, came in around 2, no one was really there. Loads of rain coming our way!! So no divers, but it was great! The bartender is awesome and so is her friend that was there! Food was great! Buffalo wrap and Burger rocked, star of the show was the fries! Best I’ve had in a long time!! Outside seating and loads of room inside too! Stop in this gem!!! Love it!!!
So, my experience here wasn't the greatest. It was nice watching the sky divers. However, we went for breakfast, it was my table and another table of 3. We had to wait for about 45 minutes for our breakfast. We were told some technical issues caused the delay. Well when we finally got out food we order the same thing, one plate was completely full of food, it was so piled on it was dripping off the plate. The other plate was a normal sized portion. Our food was Luke warm, it wasn't even hot. I'm not sure I would come back. It wasn't that great of experience. They did take $4 off our ticket. At the end we had to get up to pay because our waitress was sitting down eating. Was not happy with this experience.
For your money and the food is much better than fast food, you can't beat it now a-days. The atmosphere is unique and remember the facility complements the parachutist clientele. So with that saying, expect things to be slower when the sky divers and fans aren't expected.
This is the worst restaurant!! The food was awful and service was slow due to the fact they only had one waitress. Other customers came in after we did, ordered, and left before we were even served.
When we ordered breakfast we were told they were out of bacon, and had no rye bread as advertised. We were a party of 14 and knew it would be a slight wait, but over an hour later and then only one plate finally arrives at the table is ridiculous. Eight other orders came out sporadically and then the last six finally got theirs, again sporadically, after the first eight people had finished their meals.
I ordered hash browns, eggs over easy and toast. The hash browns came out on a separate plate, floating in a dark brown grease. The over-easy eggs were extremely undercooked and I was only able to pick through and eat the parts that were cooked, which didn't leave much to eat. The toast came out without butter and we were told the butter was on the way. By the time we got the butter, the toast was cold and so was the butter, making it difficult to spread on the bread.
The waitress was extremely nice and friendly. She even left us a pot of coffee on the table to be able to serve ourselves when needed. The only help she had was a young boy, who appeared to be about 14 and desperately in need of a hair cut.
Needless to say, we will not be going back to this restaurant EVER. How they stay in business is beyond me.
What a great location find that we stumbled upon! The food was great and we were treated to a beautiful day of watching the skydivers land right before us!
It's such a cool little place. The food was so good. Highly recommend the chicken panini.

A little girl walked in looking for her mom ( I think she was lost or something of that nature) they jump in and protected the child, kept her calmed and safe. Until the police arrived and still stuck to her side at all time.
