I’ve been here a few times now - with friends, family and also an impromptu visit on my own.
The staff are always lovely and the food is delicious.
I love the decor and it is always clean and tidy.
Friends that I’ve visited with from out of town have commented on how lucky we are to have such a lovely cafe.
It’s great to be able to appreciate the ever changing views of the sea too.
10/10!
First time visitor today for lunch, won't be my last visit.
A superb stop for a quick lunchtime sandwich and pot of tea. Overlooks the seafront, so great views from the window seats. Friendly staff who are efficient in getting your food and drink to you. Well worth finding when you are next in Dovercourt.
I love this place! Visited 3 times during my stay last week, twice for coffee and cake, the other time for cocktails.
Amazing transformation from an old toilet block to a luxurious cafe/cocktail bar. There are photos of the work carried out, along with a book of old postcards of the original pavilion. Huge windows provide sea views, the art deco interior has plush chairs, a lovely mural of the sea front and the toilets are even worth a visit! The staff are welcoming and friendly and their coffee and cakes are delicious, as are their cocktails!
Next time I am back in Dovercourt, I’ll be heading straight there. A welcome addition to the town and seafront.
5 stars just isn't enough.
Today we celebrated my daughters 21st birthday and I chose the pavilion to host, now let me tell you just how incredible and luxurious this place is. I was able to set up balloons, dress the table, set up presents and cards, along with her cake hidden away, kept in safe hands prior to our arrival. We were greeted with kindness and a very warm welcome too, all staff said happy birthday and bent over backwards to make sure every single moment was perfection. We ordered cold drinks, savoury snacks and the most indulgent cake that we could easily have eaten more of being so amazing. The gentle jazz music, the staggeringly incredible view of the bay, the wonderful pavilion and all there staff truly made her 21st birthday a day she will never forget ❤️. Thank you.
The last time I was here it was an abandoned block of toilets and you'd never know it coming here.
They've done a great job with the in and out decor of the place; it even smells nice, and the little touches really make it a nice place; the wide, unrestricted windows provide a great view of the sea, and there's a lovely mural on the far wall.
We went 9:30 AM on Sunday so service was swift and nice, and the café was quiet. I ordered a decaf oat cappuccino and my mother had a flat white. It's nice that they didn't charge extra for the oat milk and the price of £3.20 wasn't too bad.
We each had a slice of baked goods; I had the peanut butter stack and mum had a cherry bakewell slice, which was also gluten free.
The peanut butter stack was delicious and rich. My only gripe was that the serving size was small. The bakewell slice didn't taste much of cherry, and both were quite cold and hard to cut.
The toilets were really nice; very clean and there's a tampon bin, hand gel and on the whole it's a pleasant place to be. The disabled toilet is spacious and much the same
On the whole it's a lovely coffee shop and I thoroughly recommend a visit!
Delicious cakes, delicious coffee, delicious cocktails, all with a sea view! What's not to like! Beautifully stylish decor, coupled with very friendly, attentive staff. A real gem for the town and must visit!
Had a wonderful afternoon tea and cocktails with my family last weekend. Food was delicious and I loved that they contacted us to ask about which sandwich fillings we would prefer. (I have some fussy eaters and allergies in family). The staff were so friendly and helpful and the views over Dovercourt Bay lovely. Can’t wait to visit again.
This tea room has been decorated to a very high standard and serves a great selection of food and drinks. The coffee was great and the food was fresh. We were served by Emily who was so warm and welcoming. Will definitely be returning for more afternoon treats.
