(5/12/2024) If you don’t want to serve people of color, just say that. I order quesadilla Texana (no beef, add extra shrimp) because I always pay extra for it. My husband order appetizers chicken quesadilla. First time food came out, husband food was cold like it was sitting out and contaminated with other food like peppers. I received steak in my meal. We spoke to server Wendy and she grabbed Leo the manager and we got the meals sent back. Second time my meal came back fast and something didn’t feel right so I checked it. It had less meat and scallops. I’m allergic to scallops. Leo avoided the table and never came back. Wendy apologized and stated the kitchen is messing everyone’s orders up. She sent it back. Not to mention but my husband food took an additional 45 mins to come out and it was on the original plate we sent back. When I got the last remake, it had only 3 shrimp in it. We just got the check and left. Confirmed Leo’s name when leaving. Sad part is, we didn’t even get an apology. I’ll stick to location by airport. If you are non-Hispanic, this is not the place for you. They put all melanated people to the back. I watched the host signal for 4 black families to sit in the back.
Truly one of the best Mexican restaurants I've ever been to. The food is outstanding to start, the steak is easily the best meat they have there but the chicken is nothing to slouch on. The service is fantastic you will almost never be out if something to drink and you never have to ask for it. The seats and tables are high quality and sturdy being made out of real wood. This experience is authentic and worth every penny.
They only gave us one menu to share, and when I went up and asked for a second menu they seemed annoyed. Despite not being very busy, I still waited longer than I have ever waited at a Mexican place for food. Despite the incredibly long cook time, the cheese on my son's nachos wasn't fully melted. Also, the white sauce is not very good, and you have to ask for it(they only give out regular salsa and chips originally).
The server was very nice and attentive though.
My first time here was interesting. The host was very nice, he greeted us and walked us to a nice booth. Our server didn't come to our table until almost fifteen minutes later, and she didn't even introduce herself to us. The food was great though. Presentation was nice, the rustic atmosphere was pleasant as well. I do think that the staff could use a little more training on customer service. If anything, many of the staff seemed intimidated more than anything. I don't know if they just didn't speak much because of limited English or if they genuinely were uncomfortable with the customers. I hope that some improvements go into working with the staff on their interactions with customers. I do look forward to the next time I visit here.
Took my daughter here and she definitely enjoyed the restaurant. The chips and dip came out very quickly. The chips were replenished quickly. The food was seasoned well and there were good portions. The guacamole was priced appropriately and there was options on the amount or portions for the guacamole. The restaurant was very nicely decorated. The restrooms were clean and all the staff was very nice.
I was disappointed with the food. I’ve been to many Mexican restaurants and thought I’d try this one. I won’t go back! Here’s why: the salsa was watery, the shrimp & chicken fajita had no seasoning, not to mention they skimped on the amount received. The fajita was supposed to have red &green peppers with onions. I had 2-3 red peppers, some onions and a ton of green peppers, and most of them were not cooked enough. The chips were good and they did give a lot of those. At other restaurants like this, (El Patron and others), I would have enough food for two to three servings, not here! Finally, I paid less or about the same about for delicious food, elsewhere. So that’s my honest opinion y’all. I hope The Patron will focus on the customer and not the dollar. Peace and Love, -V
My family and I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. They don’t know how to treat customers. My whole family had completely finished their meal and my meal did not come out until the end. I had to have them box it to go. They did not take ownership. The manager just dismissed it and refused to give me the meal as a courtesy for their error. They acted as though not charging me for a $15-20 meal was going to break the bank. . We were a party of 20 people who made a reservation. When one person is treated in such a way the whole part is affected by it. They refused to take ownership by doing the right thing by the customer.
We had made reservations for our party of 20. Our food comes out & 3 of our guest including my mother had not received their food. 5 minutes go by. No food. 15 minutes go by no food. 20 minutes go by & 1 out of 3 receives his tacos. Another 10 minutes go by & we ask for a manager after asking several staff members several times about the food. The second order comes out but still waiting in my mom’s food. The manager comes out & asks what she ordered & said he would get it right out. At this time everyone was completely done eating & staff had started to clear the table. My aunt asked the manager Tony who was not friendly or apologetic if her food was going to be comped. He quickly said no “we don’t do that” but I can give her a discount on the bill. He are taking about a meal that cost $15! He went back & forth with her for a little while all while my mom still did not receive her food!! She finally received her food as she ate it out of the to go container while everyone started taking pictures. This was previously a family favorite but will not be receiving business from me or my family moving forward . Very disappointing that my mom couldn’t eat with her family in Easter Sunday. Very disappointed in the way management handled the situation.
