Chanel is the most amazing stylist I have had!!! She diligently takes her time to educate me on my hair. When I started coming I had damaged hair after giving birth to my last child. Now after 2+years my hair is growing and thriving! I constantly get compliments about how well trained my hair is and how much body it has. She has even help me to venture out to new styles. I look forward to my bi-weekly appointments!
I’ve been a client of Chanel for three years now. I stumbled upon her after my childhood beautician retired. She is one of the most sweetest, kindest, and knowledgeable people I’ve ever met. Chanel has grown my hair so much within these past few years (I thought my hair just didn’t grow beyond a certain length). I can come in and Chanel can immediately look at my hair and say, “you’ve been doing x,y,z…stop it” or “you haven’t been doing x,y,z…START!”. I book my appointments during my lunch break and she gets me in and out without cutting any corners. Throughout my appointment I’m constantly asked if I’m okay, if I’m comfortable, or if I need anything.
I 100% trust Chanel’s skill set and judgement when it comes to my hair. She is the only person I trust when it comes to cutting and straightening my hair. I’m glad I’ve found my forever stylist with Chanel and love/appreciate her immensely.
Ladies, whatever you all…do not go see CHANEL at the The Parlor. She made me leave without finishing my hair, because I asked her about the breakage and loss of curl pattern I’ve experienced under her care. She’s Rude and lacks professionalism for this. Save yourself the damage. She will tell you that your curl pattern is straight in between silk presses because overtime that’s what it’s supposed to do. It actually is heat damage, and I’ve two beauticians confirm that. I know other people that have left also because of the damage done to their hair. It took about 10 months to begin seeing the damage. See the picture of how straight my hair is. My hair has never been this straight in-between silk presses my entire life. I’ve faithfully gotten my hair silk pressed for years and this is the first time my hair has been damaged.
Edit: I’ve been getting my hair pressed and/or flat ironed since I was a little girl. I’ve never been a straight/natural, so we didn’t establish anything. I came to you with a full blown curl pattern. It was around the year mark that my hair was full blown damaged/ curl pattern loss. That is why I asked you about it, but apparently you don’t take questions well and maybe too narcissistic to receive feedback. You are right..that’s why you are not the stylist for me. I like my hair healthy and to maintain curls and no breakage. I also like to be able to ask a stylist about the condition of my hair without them getting mad when I asked nicely!
I am so pleased the service and love I received on my hair today. Jaila was amazing. She was very patient and answered all my questions. She gave tips on how to maintain my locs being that I’m just starting out. If I could give more stars I would. Jaila you have a client for life.
My daughter was just put out of the shop for asking a question! Chanel, her beautician was most unprofessional and told her to leave with uncompleted hair styling. My daughter is totally professional and encountered very disturbing behavior from this woman. I would suggest ladies become aware of the lack of professionalism and mistreatment from her.
This Salon is neat, clean, mask friendly and very diverse. It doesn't matter what type of hair you have there is someone who can take care of you. You are greeted when you come in. They also sale hair products and have other services to offer outside of styling your hair. They offer waxing, scalp stimulation treatment, eye lashes, haircuts or trims. They are very professional and respectful. My hairstylist is Ms. JaTasha and I really trust her judgement. I was showing Ms. JaTasha a few cuts and styles that I liked but she was honest to inform me to keep in mind that my head isn't shaped like that. So for me that meant I wouldn't get that exact look that I wanted. I never thought about how my head or face was shaped would have a roleplay with my cut or style. Thank you so much Ms. JaTasha for conditioning my mind and my hair.
The customer service is SUPERB! I was in a crisis, the new owner & staff went over & beyond to meet my needs not only cosmetically but mentally & emotionally as well. The atmosphere is calming & clean. My stylist came in on her day off to assist me & I am eternally grateful. I'm definitely returning & want to give a special kudos to Nina and Ellie for making my heart smile & getting my crown allllll together!!
I went online to find a place to get my granddaughters hair done since we moved here from Colorado. I am so glad we found The Parlor!! Michelle, Danielle and Susan are all wonderful! They all are warm, friendly and professional! My granddaughter has very curly hair and Susan cut and styled it. It looked so beautiful. Michelle did all the shampooing and detangling which is a huge chore in itself and my granddaughter didn’t cry once. Danielle is doing feed in braids for her today and she is having a blast and the braids look fantastic. I would highly, highly recommend The Parlor!!
