Positive: Location is great. Right in the heart of Flushing Queens. Close to everything. the Sky mall is right next door. The staff is excellent. Quick responses when I ask for anything. Water pressure good, nice toiletries, free bfst too Negative: tough to find parking if you have a car. they do have a small underground parking garage, $30or $40 if you can't find street parking otherwise everything else was great! Negative: ""
Positive: Location and service. Heart of downtown flushing Queens chinatown. Across the street is skyview mall. Restaurants nearby. Subway and main street 5 min walk. Staff service was awesome. When I called for anything, it came within 15 mins. Clean and comfy rm Negative: Free bfst was carb heavy. I had extended stays so got little old. More fruit options and protein be nice. Yes I did go out for bfst too Also each room had different tv options like they upgraded when needed rather than doing all. Just noticed this... Negative: ""
I had to stay there for one night because of the event I'm attending is nearby. There are many concerns I have about this hotel and normally i don't write bad reviews even if I had bad experiences previously. First of all, when we got to the floor of our friend's room, we noticed there were 2 huge piles of dirty towel and bed sheets were thrown on the ground of the hallway in couple of different spots. Many look like they've been there for some times. When we went inside the room, the washroom ground is heavily stained with rust and outside garbage can has one candy package from mostly the previous person. Our room is on the 2nd floor where the gym and breakfast area is, we can hear very clearly loud music playing in the gym and starting 6am, kitchen table and chair moving and squeaking, people walking and talking. In addition, there was no hot water, was barely even luke warm even after 5 min running.|Our group had a total of 5 rooms in this hotel, and overall everyone had a very terrible experience. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. If you are looking to stay here because of the location, there are many decent chain hotels nearby. I would stay away.
Stay in the city overnight once a week for work and this spot was affordable when Manhattan wasn't but dear God is Flushing far away. That said it's not far from transit, feels safe, and made for a comfortable, quiet stay. What more could you ask for?
I've had a few extended stays at the Parc hotel over the last 2 years due to circumstance and kept returning!
There are a lot of hotels in Flushing so here are my pros and cons:
location, location, location - downtown flushing chinatown - next door to Sky mall to get stuff at Target, bakery, groceries and can park if need to if you have a car. Main Street and subway is $5 min walk. lots of restaurants, bakeries, family run stores, malls and grocery stores around. 10 min drive to Laguardia airport.
Rooms were nice and clean, has TV, refrigerator and coffee maker, standard toiletries, safety deposit box. decent size for standard rooms. Shower had great pressure and got hot fast!
If you upgrade room, can get a bit more space to walk around and lay out suitcases.. they also have a very nice queen suite that I stayed at. was like a studio and nice view! it is the only room with microwave too otherwise there is a microwave in the breakfast room on the 2nd floor.
The free breakfast was decent. congee, carbs like pastries, bagels, breads etc...some. hot bao with beef or pork and boiled eggs. fruits are mix bag, orange, banana or apples.
Staff were all professional, responsive and helpful. Some more friendly than others. Most are bilingual - there was a comment about front desk not speaking English. they do. most speak Mandarin and English. It is chinatown. During last visit this year,I bumped into a few managers and saw they were on top of stuff. they were aware I was in the room with a busted thermostat once they saw my bags and knew my room #. Had a really nice employee help me with moving my bags to my new room. oh shout out to that engineer who really tried to fix my thermostat!
another shout out to a female front desk clerk who did not get dismayed when she was talking to me and another male came immediately in her face and started talking to her. She put her hand up to him and finished helping me. He realized I was there...a male thing?? lol
also heard carpet cleaning on a daily basis of the main floor where I was.
Housekeeping super helpful when I needed anything. within 15 mins of calling usually.
I noticed upgrading to rooms at each visit which is good to see they are maintaining the rooms like bathroom fixtures.
Did not check out gym or the rooftop bar but heard the bar up there has a great view!
Cons for me or issues I noticed:
parking challenges if you have a car. it is downtown flushing. either it is expensive to park - Parc Hotel does have parking below the building $30 or $40 a night, only has 6 spots maybe? and tight.
if you can find street parking whooooo!
TVs were all different like the direct tv link is not consistent. some tvs were better than others. as upgrading happened, one room had a Samsung and another one I stayed at had a Roku Tv. I definitely recommend upgrading to a larger tv size too.
the lobby couch needs to be replaced! if they haven't noticed, there are some terrible rips on them now.
the ADA bathrooms were challenging showering with not spraying all of the bathroom, the other barrier was like a rubber bump on the floor and that bump was getting old.
It would be nice to have suitcase racks in the room.
Otherwise, all good!! I would stay again if I need to be in NY.
After reading the reviews of this place, I decided to give it a shot, and let me tell you I was MASSIVELY SURPRISED at how WRONG the reviews were!!!! Don't sleep on this place. The price was phenomenal, the staff was super friendly. I do want to mention, if you havent read, they required an additional 200$ deposit to stay here, under the intention for making sure you don't wreck the hotel room. In my mind, that's justifiable, some people just ruin it for everyone.
Overall, the room was super clean on a daily basis, the room itself was very up to date, it could have done with some small improvements, just in terms of updating certain things. But if you're looking for just a place to lay your head for a short stay, I'd highly recommend the Parc Hotel! 10/10!!
1. The hotel service is very poor. The woman at the front desk can say that there is no service at all, but she actually calls the customer an idiot in English.
2. The hotel's hygiene is not cleaned every day, but only every two or three days.
3. Breakfast is only white porridge and some bread
4. There is a subway station nearby and it is very close. The noise is very loud.
5. There is a bar downstairs and a sex room upstairs. There was blood in the room.
The room was clean with great design but very small.
The hotel is well maintained and has a bar on the roof.
The free breakfast was decent.
