Tiny old school diner. The food was good, if typical diner fare. The service wasn't particularly friendly or fast but it wasn't the worst. The interior is a bit shabby and run down.
Terrible chicken and waffle.
1 hard cut up chicken strip and a chicken flavored under cooked waffle with honey drizzles and scallions. No way!
I have been coming to this place since the 90s....it has had several names and many changes, ...BUT.....OMG... the current staff and menu are amazing... the quality and taste of the food is truly delicious especially for a foodie.... the shrimp and grits are awesome yet the burgers are divine! Have had several meals here as of recent and every time i have been met with a polite staff and awesome lil hole in the wall diner! Definitely a must try!
This place is like stepping into the past. The waitress was attentive. Loved the atmosphere and the music that is played inside, which was rock and R&B from the 60s and 70s. I ordered the steak and eggs. I ended up sending the steak back because it was gristle and not very seasoned, like it was taken directly from the freezer and thawed out. No marination at all or seasoning. I then subbed it for Country Fried Steak. This was better but definitely needed seasoning as well. All in all, decent place for a quick bite to eat.
This place is incredible! The atmosphere is so cool with the Diner feel.
Our food was fresh and absolutely delicious. If you love bacon, this is the place to go. The bacon has a smoky taste and it literally melts in your mouth.
Good food and service, steak was cooked to well but didn't have the time to send it back. Little slow on the time from ordering to receiving food. But it was busy so really no complaints. If I'm in the area again I would eat breakfast there again.
This place was so cute and charming! I was super bummed out because their fryers were broken. :/ So they only served half the menu, and I wasn't able to get my chicken and waffles while in the south. They were very fast and the prices were great! Definitely would like to give it a try again when we visit again.
Came in on a Wednesday morning. Two of us. My buddy that brought us here told me there's always just one lady working the tables. She wasn't working lol.
Coffee was hot, food came out fairly quick. I got cheesy eggs, bacon, toast, and hash browns. He got the same with chicken fried steak.
Both hash browns were sour. We both didn't know what to think. My eggs were eggs, bacon was crispy af, and the toast was pretty good. My buddies chicken fried steak was also sour.
He said it's never been like that before. We'll try again next time I'm in town lol.
