Best KPortal Reviews
We had a lovely family dinner celebration. The service was exemplary and the food was amazing. The wine by the glass was very good (pinot noir, chianti, san genovese). Appetizers were large (could be an entree, we split them), and the mains were generous. Everyone took half of their dinner home. The daily specials really were special and the gorgonzola ravioli was very good. There was live music (we were right by the musicians) and it was very pleasant and not too loud.
Reviews were amazing. Caught off guard when we walked in and was told they'd have to check to see if they had space outside without a reservation. The weird part was the place was really empty. Didn't know reservations were a thing in such a small town. Waiter made up for it.. I disliked you can't order a large pizza for the table but liked the personal pizzas were much larger than expected. Overall, great service.. after initial greeting. "Do you have a reservation? No? Well, I'm going to see what we can do." With an annoyed tone. The rest of the experience saved the day. Recommendation would be to maybe have a nicer host. Happy this didn't set the tone for rest of experience. Ohh.. and the crust of the bread was merely impossible to actually chew and I felt like a straight up savage attempting. ????♀️ Would come back.
My husband got the pear and gorgonzola fiochetti, which was delightful. The potato croquette appetizer was also really enjoyable. I got the fettuccini alla painted lemon. It was a generous serving and the shrimp was well cooked, but it was bathed in a watered down pesto sauce that needed more salt or umami flavor and the tails were left on the shrimp, which is fine for finger food but really awkward and messy in sauced pasta. We enjoyed the live music there (Jamie Cairney) though we would have liked to sit outside but were told it was not open bc they were understaffed.
What a nice place. From the moment we walked in the door, we were greeted with smiles and treated like welcome guests.
The decor, the lighting, the bar, the food. Everything was wonderful and I'm looking forward to going back.

We've eaten at the Painted Lemon many times since they opened. The food has been outstanding, as we eat our way through the menu! Service has been consistently top-notch. Prices are reasonable and the portions are very generous. Well worth the trip.
I stopped by recently with a friend on a bike ride. We sat outside and received excellent service. The summer drink specials were great. I ordered the Grilled Cesar Salad which was delicious. No complaints, The Painted Lemon is always a good go to.
Absolutely the best pasta I've had in my entire life. The service was phenomenal, the food arrive quickly and we had a fantastic time.
I wish I lived locally to be able to enjoy this restaurant often.
I’ve eaten twice at the Painted Lemon in the past two weeks. First time I was extremely impressed — shrimp arancini ball appetizer was amazing. ...Shrimp w fettuccine in a pesto cream sauce- absolutely delicious. Lovely evening sitting on the patio.... I was excited to go back… I brought my family back tonight and was disappointed.......took a long time to receive water or drinks.
Cocktail wasn't great...not cold..tasted watered down. Ordered the beet carpaccio salad- came out w no cheese and no carpaccio— rather a house salad w some chopped beets added— hardly as described . Calamari was inedible -- did not appear to be homemade- hard and flavorless. That ended our disappointments...the entrees (sole francais, white pizza with prosciutto and fettucine special with scallops and lobster) were very good and extremely generous portions. Server was very warm and welcoming and attentive the entire night......good but could have been so much better.
