We popped in for a light bite today, they weren't very busy, we ordered a bacon sandwich and a bacon and sausage one with chips to share. Sadly both sandwiches were only warm and the chips were undercooked.which is a surprise as they weren't cooking for anyone else. The prices were quite high to say that you ordered at the till and it wasn't take service as it was before. Then to top it all I saw one of the staff members tidying the cake cupboard by helping herself to bits that were fallen off with her fingers!!!! Sorry won't back anytime soon.
Great food, well presented. The cakes are to die for too. It's dog friendly and has doggy ice-cream as well. It's all wheelchair accessible including the outside seating area.
Great spot for a breakfast or light lunch. Very handy for walking on the wetlands, visiting Julian's Bower and the beautiful little village of Alkborough.
Plenty of seating both inside and out. Very pleasant and chatty staff. A small menu which usually equates to well cooked and this cafe is no different, excellent scrambled eggs on toast, bacon and sausage sandwiches. Members of the group also sampled, the scones, vanilla slices and bakewell tart which I'm assured was better than anything from Bakewell. I would highly recommend you seek out this hidden jem you won't be disappointed.
Always a great stop off either for breakfast, a spot of lunch or just for cake. Make sure you check their Specials Board and Cakes. Also makes a great Mocha.
Fish finger Sandwich and a Mocha in pics
Lovely looking cafe, but disappointed with the Very slow service for just a bacon sandwich as cafe was not busy 25mins, also dry bread cake and you would think a cafe on a farm would have fresh milk no UHT carton milk.
Shame ad in wonderful location.
Live locally. Called by Sunday morning. It was quite busy anyway and then a large group of cyclists landed but thankfully we were before them in the food queue. Food was delicious, the staff were all very busy, and despite the demand placed upon them they were very polite and well…..lovely. Nice atmosphere. Tables laid out well, not crammed in, decent and very clean toilets. The food is cooked/prepared freshly so there can be a short wait but that’s fine. It’s worth it.
Absolutely delicious! Great service. Delicious food. Friendly faces. Fab parking. Beautiful location. Just the best. Lots of healthy options. Also loads of cake!
