Was passing through, looked up places with "corned beef hash," and this one looked best. Alas, the menu in the pics is no longer the menu you get. No hash ????. I had the "Basque Scramble" because it sounded like it might have some veggies. I got a stodgy mass of old-tasting chorizo entombed in a concretion of eggs and cheap cheese. Hash browns were barely cooked. Rye toast was curly...which was weird... and it was a wee little slice. I ate it all because I was starvin' marvin, but I sure don't recommend this joint! I hate to say it, but you're better off at a Denny's.
I was excited about the cinnamon french toast I ordered and they looked great, but unfortunately they did not taste very good. They were very sour, maybe they used sour cream or something? which I didn't expect and it ruined it for me. Probably should have returned it and got something else but I hate doing that. Everything else tasted good and the service was fine.
Most of our food was very good. I loved my chicken fried steak, the home fries were exceptional, and the eggs were cooked just right. My husband liked his biscuits and gravy. However the French toast was a little overcooked and hard and my cinnamon roll was very hard by the time I tried to eat it. Overall I would go back again.
First visit to this location, same great food and huge portions! My chicken fried steak was good and the eggs Benedict were perfect. Good prices. - We now come here about once a month, always great food and service!
We have been back multiple times and this time tried lunch. I had a great chicken sandwich and we also had a good burger.
Love it. Always feels like coming home. Everything is genuine. Just good country comfort food! Plain and simple. I get the bargain breakfast with country potatoes extra crispy (takes a little longer because hash browns are a bish to cook but well worth the wait if you like soft potatoes mixed with potatoe chip type ones), bacon strips, and French toast. French toast was perfection! Best part is the whipped butter????
I really wasn't all that hungry when I arrived, but the food was very good. My true purpose was to bless someone for Christmas. I hope my waitress will have a wonderful Christmas and enjoy her tip as much as I enjoyed her company. Merry Christmas Everyone !!
Breakfast was great lots of options for sides with an omelette. Nice to see something besides rye, wheat, white or sourdough. Red Velvet pancakes did not disappoint! Will be returning for certain.
We really enjoy having breakfast here. Food and coffee are good. I prefer the home fries over their hashbrowns. The cinnamon rolls are absolutely legendary...prepare to have some leftovers.
