Great little stop off for lunch after looking at some waterfalls. Best chips I've had in a long time and really nice (and surprisingly big!) piece of fish.
Limited parking right outside, seating outside and some public benches/ park around the corner.
Great little chip shop. Nice selection but with additional items from the normal shops. Catering for vegetarian & even offering dessert. Also handy as you can phone in orders for collection. Nice friendly owners & staff.
Last weekend I organised a school trip/expedition to Black Mountain with 20 students and 4 staff and we ordered food from The Old Temp Fish Bar on the Saturday evening.
From my first phone call 2 weeks before they were fantastic!
Communication on Facebook Messenger and on the phone was immediate and incredibly helpful. They clarified my order and even wrote the names of individual students/staff on everyone's meals!
I sent a colleague to collect our order, which was ready on time, even though it was a busy Saturday evening. The food was reasonably priced, delicious (epic curry sauce) and still warm, despite the 5 mile journey back to our accommodation.
I fully intend to make ordering from The Old Temp Fish Bar an annual part of my school trip.
Excellent service. So friendly and welcoming. Was in a large group and the owner made sure we all had seats and tables out the shop front and even gave us some water for the dog. Food was also brilliant 100% recomend!!
I’ve ordered food from this business multiple times since moving into the area recently, and the standard of food and service has been so high every time. Lovely friendly people, good nostalgic range of food and drinks and I have to say, although some places vary, it’s remained consistently the best fish & chips I’ve ever had consistently. Highly recommend checking this place out ????
Lovely, friendly place with a traditional feel. They seem to know most of the customers by name . Fish cooked fresh to order and the biggest vegetarian selection I have seen in a fish and chip shop. The curry sauce is also the best around!
They also serve slushes and the best ice cream in Wales ????

Called in here 2 days ago and will definitely be coming here more often! friendly staff and huge amount of veggie options which was really nice to see. Super tasty chips and curry sauce 5*!! :)
