Popped in for a couple drinks, lovely traditional pub, open fire and great atmosphere
Was staying with friends at Highfields Fishing Retreat in Spanby nearby. They recommended Indian Takeaway from the Bombay Brasserie behind the Pub. Had a great experience ordering the Indian and while it was being prepared had a pint with my friend in the pub. Excellent staff behind the bar, very friendly and helpful. The beer was great and locally brewed. Mild that I had was one of the best I have had. My friend had the bitter which he also enjoyed. There is a beer garden at the back and, although the pub is not maybe as salubrious as some, it is an unpretentious local, which is also dog friendly. Also had a good range of keg beers and spirits. Definitely hope to visit again.
Great choice of ales from Heckington 8 sails Brewery team bonus is; Bombay Brasserie next door. Ordered curry, had a couple of pints.. Boom ???? Great idea & a delicious curry to boot !
This pub is trying to rebuild its customer base after it was ravaged by fire. No food yet. The beer is great. Real ale ,a variety of lagers and their is a pool table and darts board . The locals are friendly and will tell you which ale is best. Give it a go.
Relaxing place to watch the bikes and boats go by
The pub has re-opened under new enthusiastic management. They are having kitchen equipment fitted soon and will be starting with bar food and the restaraunt will open at a later date. There are four real ales on hand pumps at the moment. A separate bar room is planned with pool and sky sports making it a real local but a restaraunt as well

First visit, for my cousin he said that the food was really excellent one of the best Indian meals he had ever tasted served by exceptionally friendly
and efficient staff which made me very pleased I had introduced him to
my favourite Indian Restaurant and Shah my favourite waiter for whom no
request is to much trouble. ????????
