Beautiful welcoming olde world pub, very busy on a Sunday. We only had drinks there but the beer was well kept and the wine was of good quality.
The staff are friendly and efficient but the bar is small so be prepared to wait a little..The car park is large and the outside seating area is both covered and open.
Perfect village pub slightly off the main road. A lovely welcoming atmosphere and nice mix of regulars and visitors. The menu was excellent with a range of specials to supplement the traditional menu, quick turnaround and really friendly and attentive staff. An absolute gem. Definitely one to come back to.
A welcoming country pub with rooms. Ideal location for touring around East Devon and Dorset. Good beer, home cooked food and spacious rooms.
What a wonderful community pub! Great atmosphere as buzzing with choir and skittles locals. We had a fab meal cooked by Leah who is a great host…thoroughly recommend!
We were staying in a nearby cottage and enjoyed a wonderful meal here|The menu is standard with two or three specials, but good value |The staff are welcoming and efficient|I had the fish and chips and my wife had the steak pie with vegetables all very well cooked
Just an overnight stay but such a friendly welcome! Despite the freezing temperatures outside, our room was warm and cosy. Wonderful breakfast cooked to order - will definitely return.
Got ripped off. Food very nice, but small portions. Ordered extra chips to share as soon as food arrived but no apology from landlord. Then got charged £6 more than expected... pretty sure it was for mayo and tartar sauce!
Had a super meal there last year but now won't bother again.
We felt as if we were intruding. Landlord wanted us to order lunch as soon as we arrived. This was because he wanted to close early! No respect for his customers whatsoever. Food was awful - slimy ham from a packet, undercooked chips from the freezer. Asked us to shut the gate on our way out, he couldn't get rid of us quick enough!
