Best KPortal Reviews

Great to see they have reopened despite the lack of a liquor license.
The appetizers were delicious.
The service was good.
I had the Curry bowl with Salmon (I asked for it blackened, but it wasn’t). It lacked seasoning other than the curry & there were huge chunks of vegetables undercooked.
Moral: DON’T order the Curry bowl.
However, one of our diners had the Chicken pot pie & she exclaimed it was excellent. Everyone else had Fish n Chips, which is traditional there. But I didn’t hear any of them say it was delicious.
Great cozy decor and vibe. Very attentive service and adorable waiters. Fish and chips were yum but pass on the overpriced tomato bisque and wedge salad ($19???) which were yuk. Overall a nice place to hang out and chill and we'll try some of the other entrees next time. Pricey though for what it is!
Great spot to have dinner. The Maple ale was great too. I had the fish and chips and it was great. We had about 10 people with us and they accommodated us very well. Granted we went on a Tuesday night so there's no telling if there's normally a wait on the weekends. Either way, great eats and I would suggest people to try it out.
Open year round, the Newes is just such a cozy spot, with a fireplace for those cold, snowy days. And the perfect meal? A bowl of their French Onion Soup - it really is the best one on island! Get the fried chicken if you're hungry - so delicious. Their specials are always great as well!
Great service. The food was good, but the salad tasted like water, no salad dressing on it. The atmosphere was good. It just needs better lighting. It's hard to read the menu's
Had been coming here for years. It is now under new ownership as is the old Kelley House
It was always pleasant great pub food.
Went there this evening.
We were disappointed.
My wife's Lobster Mac and Cheese was not hot.
My fish and chips were ok.
However what really bothered me was the fact they charged for refills for plain iced tea.
It was $5. a glass . I had 2 glasses and they were probably only 10 oz glasses filled with ice.
Sat outside on a warm summer day. Beer selection was excellent and typical but delicious pub food. Highly recommend
We stopped here for lunch and my wife and I both had excellent salads. the garden salad was good but very basic while to the Caesar salad with chicken was more of a meal.
