So sad use to a favorite place for diner type food. Now they can't even afford to replace burned out bulbs in the lights. Only half if the dining area is used. It's so dirty carpets haven't been cleaned forever. Window sills are dirty, the place is dark. I wonder if he's just waiting to sell the property. The food was good we did stick with items that we figured wouldn't go bad like waffles. When you can't afford to replace burned out bulbs or make small repairs I hesitate to order food items that might be held onto pass their date. Such a shame all the other restaurants were filled with waiting since it was president day. This use to be a great place sadly I can't recommend it anymore.
Waitress was rude and inattentive. I ordered the Grecian Chicken, which was a pan roasted chicken in pieces with bone in it. I ordered it with Grecian potatoes. All of it was burnt black. I'm sure with the seasoning, it would've been ok, but the flavorful skin was burnt and ruined. The meat inside was tasteless. The potatoes were partially burnt. I used the lemon from my tea to add some flavor to it and it was edible.
All the seating in there, and had 2 other people eating there at 7pm. That should've been a strong indicator of the likability of this place. The prices are to high for the bad food there.
My experience was mediocre & the waitress made it so obvious her ignorance & difference in customers. I heard her ask people several times did they want more coffee or tea or anything for that matter & when I "had" to ask for a refill or things I needed for my tea she looked as if it was a problem...it's refills so quite naturally I'm going to need the condiments for it & when people paid & left she said thank you & have a nice day, I got neither. Oh & this was my 1st time here????
The food was tasteless!!! We dined here and only ordered 2 reasonable meals and some sides and two children's meals and came out of their paying $70!!!
The eggs were over cooked, the hash browns were under cooked and WHITE!!!! The coffee was warm, not hot. The children's "Mickey Mouse" Pancake was short of a treat. The Mac & Cheese was also tasteless, all I thought was "how do you cook mac wrong, especially from a BOX"!!! The Steak sandwich was so hard, not even the knife wanted to cut it's way through the meat!!! The soup was cold and so was all the food.
The waitress kept coming, not ask if we were okay, but asking if we were finished and wanted to take the food to go!! We felt rushed and uncomfortable and there were ONLY 4 other tables being used in the diner!
We were two paying adults and asked for separate bills. In the end, they brought one bill, one adult in our party didn't order a meal! We were three adults and 2 children under 4 and were charged an 18% gratuity for being asked to leave every 5 minutes!!!
When it came time to pay, we asked if they offered military personnel discounts, they declined!!! Then paid with a credit card, from a very well known bank! We showed a military ID as identification and the lady behind the counter denied the ID!!! She said very clearly, "I can NOT accept this ID, it is not valid." BUT this claim came out of her mouth AFTER she charged the credit card!!! She did NOT care if my brother paid it with an incorrect card, she only cared after my brother expressed how horrible the service and food were. I was so disgusted by the events I left with an awful nauseous feeling and complete disrespect! I really felt like she just wanted to make sure we never returned to her place of business!
When we mentioned that it is a federally issued identification and that if she did not return the bank card, then we would be forced to report it stolen, she still hesitated and refused to return the card. Once I told my brother, who was paying to just let her keep the card and call the authorities and she'd have to deal with them however she'd like, she returned the card.
The lady followed us out and took pictures of my brother's plates and when we asked why, she said it was just in case the charges didn't go through!!!
So not only was she saying that the Government issued ID was a phony, she was accusing us of having phony credit cards!
All in all, this place was a disgraceful and horribly unpleasant visit. When we asked if she treated all her guests this way, she said, "I'm making sure that if there are any charge backs, I get my money!"
Not only was she accusing a military active service member of fraud, but she was taking pictures of his personnel plates!!!!
My guess is she will have some of her police family members, harass them purposely! ***That place has a reputation of being crooked and well connected with corrupt city officials.***
New Pindos is near my house and Ive been here a couple times. The food is so-so, but acceptable. Their menu is HUGE, they could probably focus on a smaller menu and making the food better, but oh well. The best part of this place is the diner vibe and friendly staff.
This place is my local greasy spoon for breakfast and it does not disappoint! Their skillets are the best next to their massive steak and eggs. Haven't had a bad meal here!
Service is mediocre and the food is bland. To top it off, the food is very overpriced for the portion sizes. Also, they cheap out on condiments and everything else.
The Wife went and picked me up a turkey club to go . What goes on ANY CLUB Sandwich? Bacon, lettuces, mayo and tomato, plus whatever meat you wanted added to it on toasted bread. Right? So I call Pindo's and explain that I did NOT receive bacon on my club sandwich. Without hesitation the lady on the phone interrupts me and says that " BACON DOES NOT COME ON CLUB SANDWICHES." So I say to her " I do not know where you are from, but if it is called a club, it has bacon on it. Any other restaurant in America puts bacon on their club sandwiches." Her reply was ' Well here we have two kinds one with bacon and one without." So I replied " Google CLUB SANDWICH and tell me what comes on it ." She finally blamed my Wife saying "She ordered it with no bacon." When I asked my Wife if she said no bacon? She replied " I NEVER told her no bacon." The lady went on to call my wife a liar. Not only did I not get the CLUB sandwich I ordered but the tomato on the sandwich was pure white. I wouldn't have served that sandwich to my dog. I will NEVER eat their again. Hey, Pindo's I attached a turkey club pic so you can see what the rest off the world calls a turkey club.
