The food and service was excellent.
Not to many places I've been to where the cook comes out to ask how your food taste and if it was cooked to perfection. The waitresses were very friendly and was doing a great job even though the place was packed.
You walk into a little place and it's busy, you know they must be doing something right.
Attn,Right off the I-80 and US 71. Don't let a gas station detour you from trying it out. Excellent service, staff, good quality of food..
Fresh vegetables for popeye omelet/ bacon, spinach, added Swiss. Sub potatoes for tomatoes.
Biscuits and Sausage Gravy for me.

Egg whites, spinach, mushrooms, add Swiss cheese. The tomatoes on side didn't have taste of store bought, more homegrown. Sweet and delicious
They also have fresh cakes, pies. Delicious coffee. I'm hoping one day ill try their lunch/dinner menu. From seeing others lunch dishes in restaurant, it looked tasty.
I stop here for breakfast, food was amazing I ordered steak skillet ???????????????? for other truck drivers , come here and eat healthy, very kind and smiley face lady here thanks again
Beef and barley soup was good. Salmon was cooked a bit more than I asked but flavor was good. Hashbrowns were nice and crisp.
I had such a great meal here. I'm a trucker so good food is far and few between but everything about my meal here was perfect. The staff was great, the place was very clean, and the food was so delicious. The Gyro was phenomenal. I come from "Greek Town" and this was even better than I get there. Great job guys! Can't wait till I can come back again!
This is an old school restaurant/diner. Food was fantastic and service was phenomenal. Reasonably priced as well. Don't let the outside throw you off.
Wow!!!! We will never eat, or stop anywhere else when we travel this patch of interstate 80. Don't let the exterior of the building dissuade you from stopping.
The staff is INCREDIBLE, friendly, outgoing and quick to respond. The menu is extensive, breakfast all day a long with fresh ingredients for other meals. The desserts come from a Chicago Bakery, they looked so good, I bought a slice of banana cake, with cream cheese frosting, topped with fresh strawberries and chocolate... Good Lord!! Definitely a place marked to stop every time we go through!
The serving sizes were very big. Fried appetizers were cooked perfect. Our waitress didn't make us wait on anything, and was very nice. The outside could use a little TLC but very easy to find. Only complaint was like at any other place of business, the customers don't want to hear about the problems the staff have specially while eating.
