This little diner is a gem in the middle of the small town of Morenci, AZ. Their sign "The Miner's Diner" is made up of pennies, different, unique & appropriate for serving miners at the largest mine in the United States right in their back yard.
Dishes had a beautiful presentation like any fine restaurant in the city. Food was delicious & made with fresh ingredients. We tried chef salad & toasted club sandwich with fries. NOTE: No skinny fries here, they're thick & filling. Do you like dipping fries in ranch dressing? Not here! Try one of the special sauces the owners make for some of their other dishes. Yum Yum!
Service was outstanding. Tracy & Jessica, owners, make you feel like family, taking time to welcome guests despite being crazy busy while people dined inside & a constant stream of customers came through wearing florescent striped vests, grabbing take out lunches on breaks at the mine.
This spot is good for families as the ambience is friendly, open & the diner is well run. (Don't be surprised if someone asks what you ordered, or where you're from) Anyone who visits the mine should stop here for a bite before or after exploring.
Excellent little "mom and pop" place. Serves classic stuff. Portions are Very large and prices are no more than a fast food meal. You can tell the building is a little old, but overall good food, good prices, good service!
Food has always been great. Their enchiladas and salsa are so delicious. Small clean place. Usually the food is out quickly even though they have few staff. Usually waiters are friendly but this time ours may have been having a bad day and I had to ask her for chips and salsa twice other wise id have gave all 5 stars. Definitely a place to stop at if your traveling through.
My favorite I have to say are the brownies, but honestly, any meal you order will not disappoint. Waitresses are chipper and attentive. Highly recommend. Remember, it's a dinner. And that is the exact atmosphere you will experience.
Service was great, very friendly. Clean restrooms and environment. Was very busy. The food was not very good and the ambiance was terribly plain. Was recommended highly though. Will seek other dining choices
Really nice diner. The food is really tasty. Portions are not large but they are satisfying. The menu is simple and creative.
Good and affordable food. The taco salad is as good as anywhere. We go to the pool in morenci with our 2 year old daughter. After that we always eat here.
These ladies operate well the restaurant. The quality of foods and the atmosphere are also good.
