My first visit to the Mill MOT Centre. Just had my old vw retested after failing on a tyre and several major faults leading to the fail. The advice verbally was gladly received, and said I could seek a tyre elsewhere to save money despite them having them.
The staff and other people / customers were friendly and I felt able to engage and ask questions without feeling sillly.
I was given a quote for the work but unable to afford it at the time, but rang back and left car for several days. I went back today and car was safe, and sorted. I will say I owe them a tenner, but I will straighten up next time or buy a big box of tea and biscuits. All round straight forward. Mot and Service Centre opposite old Wheeldon Mill Pub. Thank you.
Unfortunately, we took another car for its test and feel mislead and now stuck with no car or communication from this Mot and Garage. The car needed some work folllwing the test and left it with them as they said it needed some work before the retest. However, the car is still there after 6 weeks, no mot as its run out, and apparently despite agreeing to do the work the following Monday, he said hes been too busy, and never told me anything. I was unable to find out specifics about the Mot and vaugue answers, and still unsure how to progress as It cant be left at this.
Joe was lovely, he fit me in last minute and kept me informed of the issues my car had and fixed them quickly. Really reasonable prices and great service! Nice to find an honest garage who have good service! Will definitely be returning and would 100% recommend
Was charged 1300 for a flywheel and clutch replacement, they said they could only get OEM parts but when asked for invoices they woulsnt provide them due to data protection as they said. Once agreeing to provide invoices covering any personal information they couldn't provide them once again as they've taken them to his dad's house.(not protecting the data there but I'll leave that at that) . After picking it up and driving it up the road the gearstick went floppy and it couldn't drive. They came to see it and said it was the gear selector cable and admitted they could have done it whilst changing the flywheel and clutch. Still charged us a further 300 for this. After picking it up again it was hissing when the clutch was engaged and they said they knew what the issue was and 'fixed' it. Its still hissing now and I darent take it back again!!
Very busy here. Had my Q5 MOTd, had an oil change and oil/air filter changed at the same time. Great set of lads and always helpful. I think the price is fair and the under tray for the oil change wasn't a 2 minute job, massive under tray with lots of screws, I take my hat off to you guys.
Lyndon and Joe have maintained my vehicle for three years now. They are knowledgeable, honest and get repairs done properly in a timely manner. My parents now use them and if anybody asks me to recommend a reliable garage, I send them to Mill MOT. I've worked in the motortrade and used franschised dealers in the past and I have to say, these guys outperform garages that will charge three or four times as much.
Nice, polite and well prepared staff ! And a good price ... im doing my car there always if it is something wrong with it ! They are doing them best to help soon as possible ! I can just recomande them !!!
This is a great garage. They are always really good with me and my fiance ever since we bought a car off them almost a year ago now.
