Overall, I had a good experience. We came here for a friend's birthday. The ambiance, staff, and food were all good.
The staff were super nice, joked around, and were very accommodating.
I would also recommend asking about the portions because, for example the pizza is big enough for 2 people to comfortably share. We ordered too much food and had a lot of leftovers. The staff is also very careful about allergies you may have and take care not to cross contaminate if you're a vegetarian/halal concerned/allergic.
My only complaint is that they are a bit ambiguous about the prices. There aren't prices on the menu, and if you ask them to replace a certain meat on a pizza topping etc they dont mention that it's an additional 10$.
Additionally, the three sided seating next to the wall was too small to comfortable move in and out of the table, especially since the table wasn't fixed and each time the table moved, our water would spill.
Highly enjoyed coming to Mercantile, staff was fantastic the tap list is great, and I really enjoyed my smash burger! Oh and the fries had a good crisp to them which I appreciate. Hope to return again
Their menu selection is large and so far everything I've tried has been good. Drink menu changes seasonally, I've had a couple great drinks and a couple that were less than desirable.
Atmosphere is chill; think nice vibe for a getting to know you date. The upstairs bar is lovely to sit at when they have the patio open on nice days. The large staircase is a bit daunting if you have an injury and need to hobble down it.
The service can be hit or miss depending on who is working. Some bartenders are friendly and on top of it, others meh.
Overall it's a consistently good spot for drinks and dinner.
We had a party of over 20, and the customer service was spectacular. Everyone's dish came out delicious!
I’ve been here a couple times since it first opened, and it’s a great spot to hang out at the bar or have a night out in central mass. The crowd tends to based on what’s going on around the city. The rooftop bar is what is the most appealing but it’s first serve first come and they do check IDs twice when you go in and when you go upstairs. The food tends to be inconsistent as there are multiple occasions where it just did not taste that great. It feels like some of the food was stored longer than a day or they just cooked something from yesterday. The cocktails are good and they have a good amount of selections for draft. Overall, staff is OK depending on who is serving you some days. You have a nice one and some days you won’t.
I had an incredible experience here! The drinks are amazing (I recommend the Bourbon Peach Smash)! The GF Detroit Style Pizza was the best deep dish GF pizza I have ever had in my life! Seriously. If I lived in Worcester, I would have that pizza at least once a week. OMG!! Also, all of the staff were very helpful and made sure that I had an excellent GF meal and experience. If I could rate this higher than 5 stars, I would.
Venue was nice. Very busy and is more like a sports bar. We booked a reservation and requested for the patio, but upon arrival were told the patio was closed on a beautiful evening.
Food was okay. We got the chicken wings, goat cheese bites, salmon, and steak tips. Nothing too crazy, it was decent food.
Drinks were good, great options for draft beers.
Good place, nothing great though.
Considering vibe, price, service, I'd probably opt for a chili's instead.
Stopped in for a pizza and a couple drinks. Our waitress Nora was so charismatic and helpful! She recommended the down south Margarita and it is a new fav! She was helpful, personable, and attentive ! I will be sending friends and family here to dine and drink w my girl Nora !! Great job Nora!!!
