I have to say I loved the hush puppies!!!! The shrimp was not deveined or shelled to the tail and it was cooked a bit hard. The fried okra is mushy not crunchy and everything is over seasoned. Not a great impression.
I don’t see myself eating there again but I would buy their hush puppies....
This is what’s left... I was starving.
I hope to visit them in time snd see that they improved :) it’s hard starting out a new business
I had a wonderful shrimp basket! Loved the seasoning. The shrimp are devained beautifully. And my spouse loved his pork chop sandwich. Will definitely go back! Sorry had eaten most before thought about photos... Lol
I haven't liked Shrimp in 5 years...but this place changed that! When we pass through again for a visit from Miami..we'll come back for sure!
‼️BEWARE????????‼️ They have lost it!!! I ordered a scallop dinner that appeared to be a lunch and that old lady charged me a whole $22 and guess what I ain’t ever going back there. ????????
Oh my goodness! So glad we stopped in Darien on our way to the gulf coast and found The Market!! The food was absolutely delicious! Our platter had a huge pile of local caught fresh fried shrimp and some of the best fried flounder I’ve ever eaten! Thank you Bobby! Great to meet you, hope to see you again!
Awesome little market we just happened to find!! We ended up getting 2 pounds of shrimp, 1 piece of whiting fish, shrimp dip and 1 lb of large scallops!! OMG, all of it was so good! The shrimp were actually sweet!! Great selection and very good prices!! We were waited on by the great aunt of the owner and the owner's son.....6th generation shrimpers!!! The young man was so knowledgeable and I think he was only 11 or 12!! Great find!! A most to go to, to get fresh seafood!!
One of Darien's true gems for fresh and fresh-frozen seafood and much more! We recently enjoyed their fresh jumbo shrimp and the frozen stone crab claws. Also really like the drive through for a delicious meal at a reasonable price.. This is a special family business. Good people doing good for all of us! You can support their efforts at this small shop right by the post office and by grocery shopping at the Coastal Market grocery store on Hwy 17 close to Hwy 251 intersection.
Shrimp basket was awesome. You can tell it was super fresh and high quality. Food selection was great. I stop every time I'm in town. Owners are born and raised in the area and I love supporting local business. Owners and staff are super friendly.
