I catered for a large family group at The Manor House in May and found the kitchen to be exceptionally well equipped. As a caterer you're not always sure what you'll find but this one was first class.
An amazing venue for a big birthday ???? great location and plenty of space for everyone to spread out and not feel on top of one another. The only slight criticism would be not much sound isolation between rooms but that's probably just down the the age of the property
A wonderful 17th century Manor House in an idyllic English village. Easily enough rooms for 20 of us for the weekend. Not all the rooms are en suite but each room has its own character in keeping with the Manor style. Our four poster bed was glorious! The outdoor space is lovely and the big kitchen and dining room could cope with all of us. Excellent.
Such a amazing holiday home. The Makvana party really did engoy our time. Lots of plus sides to this property. Lots of bedding and towels provided, all the cutlery to accommodate and clean throughout. Lots of indavidual rooms and plenty of places to unwind. The garden was revamped and the trees in the pictures seen online were all removed meaning alot more space for the kids to play. Two large fridges for all the food you require and 2 sinks along with 2 dishwashers. Had the capability to wash and dry cloths and offered a decent 4 adult male size hottub. Overall a massive thank you to the team for looking after us. Bring on next year
Wow ! What can I say ... Beautiful house in beautiful surroundings, pretty much a home from home :) We gathered at the house on Friday for Mums 80th Birthday (we lost Dad last year) so wanted to make it special for Mum. We came from as far afield as Brighton, Norwich and Dundee for her Birthday.
The house is beautifully furnished with lots of rooms and lovely touches :)
The down side ... There was 28 of us with one American fridge freezer ... it's really not big enough for 28 people !!! We paid extra for use of the Hot tub which was an add on to an already expensive stay ! We stripped our bed and the duvet had a large horrible brown stain ... not nice. We had the four poster with a hard mattress and a wobbly frame !
We had to be out by 10 am on sunday morning having stripped the beds and cleaned around the house ! After a phone call to the owner he gave us until 12 mid day which still caused a little stress :(
Unfortunately I think it'll be a hotel next year as we'll get our beds and rooms sorted without our input ...
It's a beautiful house, packed with character. But it's also a bit rough around the edges (mouldy shower, unreliable plumbing and fragile electrics). That being said, I've spent three great New Year's here, and would do so again. But it's not perfect.
A wonderful place to host a birthday gathering. Not only is it very well equipped, it is a beautiful property, set in a picturesque village.
Beautiful venue, beautiful location
